Before actually posting the solution, I also semi-think that all the center squares on the two main diagonals are all odd and the remaining center squares are even, although that may have been something I came up with when I was misinterpreting the rules.
You don't have to worry about digits at all until the entire grid is colored then resolved to each cell having a single color. The ending is like YouTube video you linked with multi-color cells being resolved to single color cells.

If you pick any other color but purple and figure out everywhere that can go you have basically figured out the break in.

It's an equivalent set like the ring except it's isolating the cages instead of the boxes in the corners and has an extra row, thus an extra set of digits 1-9. I can throw in an extra column and make the two sets equivalent, like this:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/4/0/AAPWHiAAC4s8.jpg
The blue set is now equivalent to the red set. The center square sees all of the other blue squares and therefore appears in the red set exactly once, somewhere in column 8.

This is another similar equivalent set:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/4/1/AAPWHiAAC4s9.jpg
The blue set is still equivalent to the red set with the column we know contains the red square corresponding to the center digit removed. The center square is still included in the new blue set and can still see all the other blue cells, so the new equivalent sets still have to contain the center digit in red exactly once, this time in column 2.

But like you said, it didn't really get me anywhere. Just noodling in SET theory.
It's an interesting observation, but I think it is captured by the "draw everywhere purple can be" question, because that also observes that purple can only be in those cells in c2 and c8 as well.

Did you want to take a crack at the question of "where is everywhere red can go?" otherwise I'll probably finish the reveal tonight.

Phistomefel's ring didn't get me very far, but I came to the same conclusion with this equivalent set:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/3/8/AAPWHiAAC4rW.jpg
The digit in the center square can only appear in columns 1, 2, 8 and 9 in rows 3, 4, 6 and 7 by either knight's move, diagonal, or plain sudoku rules. That requires the digit in the center square to be diagonally adjacent in those rows, thus eliminating the remaining possibilities left in the Phistomefel boxes. (Plus the additional row of red compared to blue means there's an extra complete set of digits 1-9 in the red squares in addition to the equivalent set.)

You may...be? right, I'm having trouble following your overall statement. But you might be making things overcomplicated for you. It seems like you saw the ring:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/6/6/AACZqoAAC4ry.png

Meaning that purple sees all of blue, we can conclude it's not in Yellow, thus if we just color everywhere purple can be we are left with this:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/6/7/AACZqoAAC4rz.png

So that above picture has everywhere purple can be labeled.

So after that, let's think about another color like orange, looking at what you just solved for purple as an example, where is everywhere orange can possibly be? (you can reference the 3x3 of grids to maybe more easily spot a pattern). To answer this question, don't worry about orange overlap with any other colors, just worry about orange. "Where is everywhere orange can be?".

You can do this for each color "Where is everywhere X color can be?" (When answering this you aren't worrying about the other colors, just that specific color)

Finally I will re-highlight this statement:
I will highlight this because it is part of the puzzle/ruleset
The Name of the puzzle is "Multi-color Madness!"

(Recommended: Click the gear icon and enable "Multi-color Mode")

Robin Williams

Insomnia is one of my favorite movies, and he's a great villain there. He obviously has protagonist and comedy totally on lock.

To me the question has too many good answers unless you read it as "which actor has the best range and can also be very funny."

I think the best actor ever is DDL, but I don't think he's ever been funny. Tom Hardy has really good range too, but again I don't think he's ever been funny.

Robin is a really really good actor, but maybe not god tier, but he has god tier comedy chops.

Hasn't Gary Oldman been funny in things? Because he has god tier acting.

Finally did Philip Seymour Hoffman have good comedy roles outside the Big Lebowski?

One of those 3 has to take the cake, not sure who to choose.

So I can help with this for now.

First just by diagonal and toroidal R2C2(blue) can see all of red:
https://i.imgur.com/Xp1XnZc.png

And just by diagonal and toroidal R2C5(blue) can see all of red:
https://i.imgur.com/umBwMtn.png

As you can see, for the corner center cells and side center cells the diagonal plus normal sudoku rules make it so no center cell can contain the same digit as any other center cell.

Proving this for the center cell is trivial and does not require toroidal rules.

Thus:
Step 1: All center cells are different digits and can be colored differently.

Thanks, yeah these are accurate.

What can help to visualize how toroidal rules work is imagining the grid cloned 8 times around the grid itself. Because that's effectively what happens, if you go off the right side you end up on the left, same for top/bottom and vice versa. So using this hopefully it's more clear why any center cell (blue) can see any others: (sees red from diagonal the other center cells because they are in the same row/column)
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/3/7/0/AACZqoAAC4qS.jpg

(Grey grid is just clones of the main grid to help visualize toroidal rules).

So once you know this you can go back to this initial coloring:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/5/3/AACZqoAAC135.png

Each color represents 1 of the 9 possible digits.

Next:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/3/7/1/AACZqoAAC4qT.png
So step 2 is to consider any given center cell and completely color everywhere in the grid that cell could be, let's consider the very center cell, that digit (R5C5 purple) could not appear anywhere in yellow because of the bishop's rule, it could not appear anywhere in green because of the knight's move rule, and could not appear anywhere in light blue due to normal sudoku rules.

Thus the only possible location the digit in R5C5 could appear in is without the purple highlighted parts.

Now there are 2 ways forward from here, the way I originally planned it requires you noticing:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/3/7/2/AACZqoAAC4qU.png

Because the digit in R5C5 can only appear in purple, that means it cannot appear in the blue ring above. And I think several sudoku people here like serious_cat could talk about the significance of that ring.

(I'll pause here for today to give people a chance to see if they can get it from here, otherwise I'll finish revealing it over the weekend)

So far I've watched 3 episodes and Kumail Nanjiani's episode was my favorite, with Conan as a close second, and the other guy being alright but not as funny.

Still really funny idea for a series, and it's interesting seeing long form improv in televised form, particularly considering it is shot similar to how such shows are usually filmed.

frankly it doesnt matter what anyones opinion is on the topic of the severity of virtual sexual assault, all that matters is that people have the right to be feel uncomfortable and if they find something uncomfortable the right to say it

Had they said "it made me feel uncomfortable" nobody would object. Nobody is objecting to somebody's right to acknowledge their discomfort, just them appropriating a term reserved for more severe/immoral actions.

No because we have different words for them, and usually use the more severe word to describe the action.

The issue is that the term "sexual assault" caries very heavy negative connotation, and if you attach it to VR shit you deflate that.

If 2 things are very different levels of bad/evil/severe we should have different terms for them.

Dang... I think you are going down a wrong path.

If you want to kinda approach the puzzle with fresh eyes and look at the 3 hints I just gave you can give it one last shot, you can.

Otherwise I'm worried you might be stuck on a hard path that won't solve.

I'll do a final sweetening of the hints:
The answer to the question in hint 1, was:
Because of the toroidal rule every single center cell sees every other center cell, thus they are all different digits.

So you want to start here:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/5/3/AACZqoAAC135.png

And then color all the possible locations for each color. (thinking about the other hints)

I feel like you are very close, @Serious_Cat , and would be willing to send you some money too if you still solved it. I'll give some final hints:

  1. Which center cells (if any), can be the same?
  2. Where else can the digit in R5C5 go in the grid? I recommend you color based on this
  3. Keeping in mind the toroidal rule, what does the answer to 2 say about the possibilities for the digits in each other center square? Again I recommend you color.
Since we are in the home stretch you are welcome to post your answers/thought process in this topic.

There's a lot I want to do in my life, but when I think about it and how every single fucking time I try to do anything meaningful it blows up in my face or turns into literally nothing, when I think about that I just get so frustrated/irritable, and when I get frustrated/irritable like that the only comforting things are like eating or drinking. And even those generally don't help tons, (they certainly don't help in the long term).

If there was something healthy that reduced irritability and helped me feel empowered, that would be great, but as is it's just so damn frustrating all the time.

Example: Today would be a great day to work more on my video essay, but I wanted to finish it months ago and it just wasn't happening and I get so tired of burning myself out over and over and over and never getting to feel any joy or satisfaction.

I want more for me and my life but nothing leaves me feeling hope or excitement, and when I feel so frustrated and irritable I fall into my vices, and want to break that cycle.

PS: Yes, I currently regularly see a therapist.

No, but I still believe a prostitute is a person and not a toy. Sex with one would still be actual sex, and what he gets out of it is solely dependant on what he wants out of it. IMO sex is pointless if the other person isn't attracted to you, if anything it's humiliating and bad.

I was hunkering down for a 90 minute video on what I was looking for and found a better one that was only 15 minutes long. I'm either very confused or know quite a bit about the center square now.

Ah nice. Yeah, because you know the most about them, thinking about the center squares is a intelligent choice.

It's not feeling sorry for myself, it's being pragmatic, I got to lose the weight first.

I literally just now realized that I was baselessly making this into miracle sudoku but it's not, so there's that.
By miracle do you mean knight and consecutive king?

Btw, I do think you can solve it. I bet by how you've been talking you've extrapolated some of the break in.
