I have a nice, pretty new 1500 dollar gaming laptop that is like my pride and joy for pc gaming and I don't want screw up and make games less playable. I also kinda do some art and modeling stuff on it too.

i remember in dark souls magic is basically consumable ranged attacks and you still have to go in melee most of the time. what i want to do is only use magic attacks and never use physical attacks

Astrologer, Prophet, prisoner, and Confessor seems to be the magic based starting classes, however, based on everything I know I would say that while I'm sure you could be a pure mage, it's most likely going to be better to at least have some points in other stuff do to both Sprit summons and some ashes of war having a lot of noteworthy and powerful magic.

Personally I think I might do either a dex with int and faith or a Str/Dex with int or faith.

It is Intelligence and faith for magic

Intelligence is sorceries and Faith is incantations with arcane being sort of like luck.

I played a str/dex int build during the network test, and it was great. The only thing I have to say is that it's actually really hard to pick between int and faith in this. Int was more like an expanded version of darksouls magic to me.

While faith seemed more like completely new stuff or even kind of reminds me of some bloodborne spells like auger of eb or what not, seemed more physical/conjuring and such

Each would definitely be viable. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'm going to pick for myself on release. I think I'm probably gonna try a few different classes at launch to get a feel for everything before picking for sure tbh

Yes, a lot of news outlets and content creators got a six hours with the game and here's some of what we know:

Will be divided into sorceries and incantations, with Intelligence and Faith stats each being one of the two
Both of which require a different item to cast
Glintstone sorcery is based on stars
You will not get more spell slots by leveling, you have to find them in the world
There are and seem to be a lot of dragon based spells(I think which most are incantations, uf not all)
There are also spirit ashes which are separate but use fp to summon a spirit
I think there's more that I either can't think of right now, or probably shouldn't mention because they might be seen as spoilers

Know that magic in general has been greatly expanded upon.

Also from my network test experience, magic is far better and more fun than ever.

I don't know how to explain it but it creeps me out. I know that probably sounds wrong but it just bothers me.

I think most of it is kinda like a weird disconnected from my nice female cat being a male cat or something.

As in she has both male and female organs apparently. My family hasn't taken her to a vet yet, so I'm not 100% sure but I honestly kinda hope not.

Not everyone connects and updates their information often. And a lot of people do just install and then make sure it opens to the opening menu and never come back.

That actually makes sense I guess. To some degree. Not like more than half of everyone who bought playing offline though.

Moses wrote some books, people believed in Moses. There is prophecy in some of these books you either might beleive or don't. Part of that discussed God planning something big for the world later and another prophet like Moses rising.

Then Moses died.

Hundrers years later more prophets wrote more books that agreed with Moses and had similar things in it.
Rinse repeat for hundreds of years.

Then the New Testament arrives. Jesus is declared to fulfill this prophecy and that one and another in tons of those different books written hundreds to thousands of years ago.
Turns out there is a ton of these manuscripts and people can still read them as well. There has been people over the thousands of years since who did and declared many things about them as well.

This is..... essentially what you might call, peer reviewed religion.

What you said about you just saying God told you something and you hope people believe you is the difference between a dude saying he thinks the vaccines do this and that and a peer reviewed medical expert saying that this is what it does.

This is not an argument to tell you to believe the bible but rather to explain to you how stupid your question an comparison actually is.

My point was that tc or anyone else with that mindset would not know. You can't prove that there isn't a God. You can't definitively say that it's wrong, that I'm wrong, or anything of that nature.

Even looking at Christianity like that is part of the problem I'm speaking about. I've heard a lot of people make very similar arguments like that and they usually all are different, like they're using the same template but aren't on the same page.

At the end of the day what I really don't understand is why bother to to make topics like these? If a person wants to belive in go or the bible, why not let them, or at least not attack or mock them for believing?

It's not going to be nearly as hard as a traditional Soulslike game. Even when you can't just avoid enemies due to the open world and mounted combat, the enemies don't pack nearly as much of a punch and character improvements are VERY easy to come by.

That was in the network test.

The real game will be just as hard or harder. So far the bosses are looking very challenging, with a lot more animations apparently

They have identified the server issues and all the souls server's are going to be brought back up the day elden ring comes out.

Well, I managed to get everything figured out except my percocet.

They did prescribe it, but also prescribed the wrong dose, so that needs to be fixed sadly, but atleast my medicine was at least mostly prescribed this time.
