While not as good as the first four, this episode delivered another Madisynn situation of "minor characters that somehow really work" in this support group. Only two more episodes for Daredevil and Frog-Man to show up.

And next week there's the Werewolf by Night special, featuring this girl.

Star Wars is three timelines in my headcanon. The original timeline (my preferred one) that only incorporates the OT, everything surrounding it remains pure speculation. Second timeline is with the PT and everything that era introduced.

And third timeline is Disney era that focuses on rehashing the past. It revolves around the OT, holding it up on a pedestal and revering everything it did while also trying to redo/add as much as possible without outright retconning anything (although they walk a fine line in some cases).

Once they announced an Episode VII, I thought "why?", given I-VI gives the full Hero's Journey, the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. That movie was good enough for me to keep the hopes up, and Rogue One was even better. And then the rest of the sequels brought me back to my initial conclusion, that the story worked a lot better when Return of the Jedi was the end, and Solo proved not spin-offs could work, being diverting but disposable. And can't disagree that rehashing is a problem due to the Obi-Wan show, couldn't they at least have attempted a story that didn't feature Leia and Darth Vader? (specially the latter, I thought it only undermined the reunion that counted in the Death Star) At least The Mandalorian tried something new and was awesome.

It's hard to say "length" is the problem with the MCU shows when you can just say "writing".

A lot of these writers have failed to deliver a combination of a compelling story and a proper character development/exploration. At the very least, they haven't known how to combine the two. I think this is why Hawkeye stands out: Hawkeye really pulled you into the personal plight of Kate Bishop, and paired it with meaningful relationships with many characters, including Hawkeye, her mom, Duquesne, Yelena, and then things even got personal with the big man. The story was relatively simple, but that's okay because everything was put together well.

Other shows just fail to do that as much. Moon Knight shucks its interesting main character to focus on lame plot elements, then pulls a 180 to try to do a character episode that is undeserved. Ms. Marvel fails to unite anything at any point. F&WS couldn't do much to make you care about the characters at all (and that Zemo dancing was the most successful thing is crucifying of the show).

WandaVision had its best moment when exploring the character. Loki is probably a more complete show than the others named. But length wouldn't save shows like Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. Caring about the characters more and delivering better plots would, without being at the expense of the other.

Have to agree, WandaVision and Hawkeye have been my favorite shows so far for how they make the most out of exploring the characters in a limited episode count, with the former having a more emotional approach to make Wanda's actions and experiences hit harder, and the latter having a straightforward "Christmas beating up criminals" plot for more room regarding the interactions. She-Hulk shows well how the other shows seem to not fully deliver, and I really enjoyed the first four episodes but the last two felt to me not as inspired and just going through the motions.

theoretically someday in the future they could still do a badder guys version, I guess. theyll run out of characters to introduce to the MCU eventually, so at some point theyll have to throw Songbird into something. Probably

God, I hope so. I even thought they could've introduced Moonstone as the villain of the Captain Marvel sequel. Those two women deserve to be in more Marvel media.
