It's interesting to see people skip medications entirely because they don't want to pay the copay. One thing when people can't, another when they just won't. See this every now and then with people who don't want to pay, say, $40.00 for a 30 day supply of Novolog. Maybe one of the doctors here will enlighten me, but if you're a diabetic and your doctor decides you need insulin... isn't it best to get the insulin?

yes, but in general, people have this expectation that health care won't cost them anything. They want "the best" care, but they don't want to pay for the best. Now, granted, other developed nations have found a way to subsidize healthcare, or otherwise include supplemental options to a bare minimum. Generally speaking though, people won't bat an eye at eating out twice a week for the same cost, but the insulin is "too expensive."

Though I bet mechanics go through the same thing. People just generally put off any sort of maintenance unless the problem is staring at them right in the face.

I notice that all the time and if I wasn't such a heartless bastard I'd probably find it depressing. I do think that part of it is simply patients not knowing how expensive their drugs actually are. I find it pretty effective to show someone who scoffs at paying $25.00 for something that the cash price is $600.00 or something. Calms them down real quick.

Tamiflu was $35 with insurance when I had to get it so someone is full of shit.

Plus, to all the pro-vaccine people trolling anti-vaccine people, the flu shot was only about 10% effective this year according to my doctor and I got it despite the vaccine. First time in my life with the flu...

Wow it's almost like people have different insurance plans and thus prices might be different for different people.

Wow no plans offered by school districts offer 0% coverage on prescription medicines.

Many people pay over $100 with insurance for Oseltamivir. I don't know what to tell you.

Then theyre not covered by their insurance because thats pretty much 100% of the cost.

I work in a Pharmacy. I have compared prices between cash and a patient's insurance and seen the insurance pay literally single digit money on some medications. So...yeah.

If this is an honest post, you need to see what providers are available in your area, and look at what speeds they offer and what they cost.

The speeds are ancient Greek to me. Price and number of devices I understand, but the difference between 50 mbps and 100? I figure that's "milibytes per second"? Doesn't really tell enlighten me onto how well it'd handle Crunchyroll or online multiplayer.

A friend of mine way back when had this little portable modem from Cricket, those any good? Or should I get a full sized modem? Mainly looking to managing game data and watch anime.

The question is: at what point does a privately owned company become a utility.

Twitter is not a utility. I can safely say I have never had any need for Twitter in my life in any capacity.

A LOT of people get their news through twitter, and the president (for better or worse) uses it to DIRECTLY address the people of the nation. News agencies are held to different standards than regular television stations. Twitter is well past the point where it should be held to those same standards, one of which is fair coverage.

Most of my Twitter updates involve busty anime girls in various stages of undress or video game updates/giveaways/etc. When I want actual news I use platforms specifically designed for that.

Sure, people can and do get news via Twitter. People can and do get games via GameFAQs. Neither is a utility.

Honest question. They were only ever meant to be here temporarily. Whats wrong with them being here for 9 years before being sent home? Why are people attacking trump?

The timing is shit and this will set them back by a fucking ton. They make way more money here than they can in Haiti and have been sending that money home. Presumably that money went towards supporting their families, and taxes on that money went towards rebuilding and recovering from all the shit they've had go wrong.
