Well that Rober wasnt using self driving, with an older tesla that cant do current self driving while saying it was self driving.

Which is what I drive so I was interested to kept up with the story and it turned into quite the dramatic saga!

The tesla short group dawn project that is responsible for the op in this topic, ran the test and found what Rober did, that old teslas not running self driving run into the painting.

However, they also found that when they turned on self driving, it did recognize the wall and stop. Same for all the dummies in heavy rain. Tons of people have since tested this.
