Haven't really done anything to combat the corruption and hallow spread, so it's all over and there's now way I'm fixing it at this point. Really wish I had the main world from my first guy. Hopefully I have a copy of it saved somewhere. --- |

Just need adhesive bandages to make my ankh shield, as well as needing a lava charm to hopefully finish up my boots. Already been tearing the cavern layer apart looking for the damn charm with no luck. Only two options for the bandage right now, which are angler wish and they're rare, and werewolves which I think only spawn on full moon nights, so that's a bummer. --- |

Wearing frost armor, bee wings, and using excalibur, beat all pre hardmode bosses except the bee. Only beat one hardmode boss so far, the destroyer. Seems to be the easiest. I gotta get a better option for ranged damage. --- |

Going to use meteor armor and a space gun on him. I've got molten armor, but hopefully the gun makes the fight pretty easy. --- |

We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and (in a loose sense) The Last Castle comes to mind when I think really enjoyable ones. Yeah, can pretty much watch Saving Private Ryan every time I see it on. I think I've seen then all, but We Were Soldiers and the Last Castle don't spark any memories, maybe I should give 'em a rewatch. Fury is probably the most recent one I've seen that I like a lot, though Midway was pretty good too. --- |

| dragon504 05/31/20 6:03:17 PM #463 | Yay, I'm finished with Vesperia for now. I've got enough grade to carry most things over, except gald, but that's ok, idgaf about gald. Can also get 2x exp and the unlock for making skills only cost 1 point, so that's about as much as I need. Only thing I kinda want that I won't have is the 99 items unlock, but meh, it's not a huge deal. When I did some more grade grinding today, I hit a combo of around 2060 and got like 580 grade from that battle. I could've kept that combo going even longer, but felt like it was time to end that battle. Glad I did, as it didn't give much more grade than a 1k ish combo. Still have no idea what to watch, but for games, I'll probably either be starting Nier Automata goty soon, or maybe I'll go back and try to finish up Outer Worlds, or maybe look for guns in Borderlands 3. --- |

It did help, with the way they did the dlc. npc: Hey, fella, wanna do this sidequest? me: Sure. npc: Ok, gib monies. me: >_> Plus, my game crashed at the ending 4-5 times. Combine that with failed attempts to beat said boss, I had to do that fight probably a dozen times in a row and it ruined most of the good will the game had managed to build up. --- |

Should be over my minimum goal with over 5.5k grade now, which is great. My third try, I ended up with a 1190 combo and a bit over 500 grade when I finished the fight. --- |

Just doing a normal world with a new character for now, will transition to the expert world eventually, or maybe have the normal world as my home base and go to expert to loot expert only items. --- |

The only one I rate worse, is ToS 2, which is the only Tales I own that I've never finished. It was so cheaply and shittily done and a huge turn off. Had it been named something else and not dealt with ToS lore/characters, I'd probably have found at least some enjoyment from it. --- |

I'll usually do a whole playthrough in one language and then the other the next time I decide to play through it. Speaking of Tales, I'm pretty far into my Vesperia replay. I don't remember a lot of the game, so I'm not sure where I am, but I think I'm at the last story dungeon. I feel like Vesperia DE is harder than the 360 version was in some spots, but I may just be misremembering. --- |

I started off as an AMD fan but later switched to Intel and their i5 series. That said, I am planning to switch back to AMD for my next computer next year. Kinda leaning toward R7 3700X but a friend is suggesting going for a R7 3800X or even R9 3900X. Maybe that extra $100-200 will be worth in the long run. If you're gonna spend that much, the next Ryzen gen is supposed to come out some time this year. --- |

| dragon504 05/07/20 11:40:17 PM #108 | Didn't read the whole topic. See that you're uncomfortable with a shotgun, which is fine. There's always 20 gauges, but a pistol will just fine for home defense. Saw that you two are planning to take a safety course which is smart. I'd definitely recommend going to a gun store and finding a gun that feels comfortable in your hands. As for caliber, 9mm should be a good balance of power and ease of use. Get hollow points for your ammunition in whatever pistol you get. There's less worry of over penetration and you'll be more lethal to soft targets. Hopefully you'll be like most of us gun owners and never have to fire your gun in defense. Good luck with your safety course and hopefully all of this wasn't covered ad nauseum in the thread already. --- |
