I've noticed that Nintendo has been significantly more lax about mature content lately. Even their own games seem slightly more self-aware and edgier. There's stuff in Mario + Rabbids that never would've been allowed just five years ago. Rabbid Peach takes a selfie with an enemy falling to his death. Luigi has a freaking sniper rifle.

Plus games like Mario Tennis are poking fun at Nintendo's previous lack of self awareness by making Waluigi kind of suave and handsome just for shits and giggles.

They're more lax about licencing/whoring out their characters. Fox is in another Ubi game now too.

Kinda of ironic seeing how picky they were about Koopa's appearance in Wreck it Ralph, dictating the exact way he was to be holding his teacup.

As for Mario Tennis, one of Matpat's signature vids centers around Mario bullying Luigi during that game. A lot going on there.

2 Situations:

1) It's a great deal (eg clearance or flash sale)
2) It's (at least somewhat) rare/limited. It could be a CE, a limited release game, an older game you won't find new anywhere etc.

Either way, you get the game with intention of playing it, but usually ends up in a massive backlog

It's a way to show some subtlety & deference, trying not to come off as a "know it all". Maybe it's the Japanese in me showing. I'm pretty familiar with the terminology having grown up with it, thank you very much.

To be fair, calling them "idol" isn't very common. It's a recent thing, and pretty much only used by the adult industry itself, and mostly when they're promoting actresses. When regular people talk about them the term (Joyu, meaning actress) is far more common.

So for example if I search "AV" by google I get 44 million results but "AV" (idol) gets more like 6 million results.

That's actually an interesting point, since & by themselves are pretty similar, along with "talent" etc.
Although if I were to be picky, IMO tends to be used to for singers, while is for actresses. Hence it makes sense for pornstars to be labelled as instead of since there is very little singing in AV lol.

I think the problem is you can't articulate your point clearly.

1. The sled is not going down the track by itself. The sled is going down the track connected to the person, who is splayed out and holding onto it, creating tons of friction which is slowing everything down. There is maybe 1 second in that clip during which the sled is actually sliding completely by itself. It goes about 5 feet before he grabs it again, controls it, and then climbs back on.

And what would you think would happen if he let go? That it would magically stop on the track?

Oh even this: aside from the difference of water & ice, structure & physics-wise how would a luge track be different from a waterslide?
