Good point! If it becomes the next Tienanmen it could take #3 or higher.

Any other year there could always be a risk of a major war or terrorist attack, but I guess the upside to the pandemic is that countries are too busy to go to war with each other, and travel restrictions/social distancing etc reduces the risk of terrorism.

So - a lot of new information has come in since then.

The quarantine rules that were said to be enforced and mandatory 2 weeks ago, really, people did not get on board until late this week.

We also repatriated a shit load of infected people the last 2 weeks.

So now we're back to where we should have been 2 weeks ago, today. So it'll be another two weeks before things start getting better. Canada hasn't been hit as hard as the States and I believe will end up being a model of recovery like South Korea.

Will it though?
As late as last week people in Vancouver were still sunbathing on the beach, and they literally had to pass a law to fine people aren't taking this seriously.

And you just had a major supermarket in the Toronto area that was closed because an employee was confirmed to have the virus, and when they opened up, it was closed right away when a second employee was confirmed to be infected.

Once multiple grocery stores are closed due to employees being infected, between the closure, the disposed perishable food, etc, you can bet any Canadian "manners" will go out the window.

2 weeks is pretty optimistic. If the police strictly enforce isolation rules across the country, then maybe (out of pure physics), but you know they will be reluctant with all the Charter Rights arguments that will result. Draconian isolation rules don't do well in countries used to freedom.

you'd be surprised. a lot of people live pay-cheque to pay-cheque. they actually can't afford to save money especially living in the upper east of north america.

Who I would be totally sympathetic to, except many of them have expensive phones, drive good cars etc.
Heck, I see people at soup kitchens & panhandlers on their phones.

Foot fetishists have it good. Even everyday pictures like these are like porn for them. And it's more socially acceptable (relatively) to be staring at a person's feet as opposed to their butt or breasts.

I agree the "dominance" aspect makes it sexual for some, but I think it also has to do with the fact that it has a strong scent. I know we associate pheromones with armpit sweat, but wouldn't foot sweat also contain those same pheromones?

There's probably a reason why you haven't seen these people since HS. Not sure why you'd want to spend time & money (if you've moved out of town) to remind yourself why.
