As a boss if anytime you want something done or answered you have to wait for a phone to be dug out and a face to be buried in it for a solution, eventually you're just going up be like, yeah I can just look this up myself and save 50 hours of labor, probably half of which was Facebook social time anyway.

Not just spotify but in general those algorithms seem hungry as fuck to force feed you whatever is the current corporate darling. Say you like something kind of popular but not entirely a consumer juggernaut like...Modest Mouse. You spend days searching and listening to that and checking out their related acts, and you are starting to finally get some nicely curated shit from the algorithm.

Then for some reason you don't know about taylor swift or something, so you're like, you know what, ive been hearing about this all over I think I'll check it out. So you type it in and play like 15 seconds of whatever the first result is and exit the fuck out. Congratulations, your algorithm is now infected and no amount of cleaning cookies, changing vpns, burning down your house and starting a new identity, is going to stop the face hugging onslaught of taylor swift they are about to cram down your throat and you might get the occasional we all float on near the bottom of the list every now and then.

I usually read for the story. There would be bios, a bestiary sometimes even a small comic strip. Then there might be some obscure action command under the controls section. Plus the art was pretty cool too.
