That. Not necessarily in detail, since a lot of the information in there doesn't mean much until I've actually played the game and can contextualize it, but I'd usually give it a quick skim, and then reference later as needed. I do the same thing with digital manuals, though even those seem to be disappearing. I'm finding myself really wishing Xenoblade 2 had one, since there's a lot to learn in that game.

Same. When I needed something specific, I would check. But most didn't make sense without playing it a little. Also, when I was younger and use to get a new game from the store, I would sometimes read the Manuel on the way home so I'd be ready to play as soon as I started it up. Haha.

If you can't get people's attention simply by making an interesting topic, then using caps isn't going to make your topic any more interesting. People will notice it, but they still won't care.

Even if manuals were still a thing, that still wouldn't be necessary these days, given how often you have to wait for updates and/or installations after you get home with the game.

Yeah. Of course. But this was like forever ago. I haven't done that in over a decade.

do you mean it's unnecessary to read the manual on the way home or people can just read it at home while the game is being installed?

I read them back then when they had details and story info. Example, megaman manuals would have the bosses in them and i would love reading about the bosses.

I miss fun manuals like the one for Donkey Kong 64 (it was told from Cranky's perspective). But fun(ny) or not, I read pretty much all of my manuals when they existed.

I usually read for the story. There would be bios, a bestiary sometimes even a small comic strip. Then there might be some obscure action command under the controls section. Plus the art was pretty cool too.
