Well it used to be that you would get cracked across the face for being a snivelling punk kid, and having a random elder do it meant you pretty much failed as a parent and your child is failing as a human being.

Hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeanne all hit Florida within 35 days between August and September of 2004. Ivan hit Alabama, but also impacted Florida, within that time-frame. Frances and Jeanne made landfall just 20 miles and 2 weeks apart, the only time such an event has happened in such close proximity on both accounts.

Hurricane Katrina hit Florida (long before becoming a monster) in August 2005, and then Wilma hit in October of that year (well after obliterating Cancun.)

Trivial fact: Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne were only the third and fourth time Walt Disney World had ever closed, in it's then 33 years. Prior closures were from Hurricane Floyd in 1999, and an evacuation/closure during 9/11. The only other time it closed was as a precaution for Hurricane Matthew, last year.

I think hurricanes and earthquakes are the easiest to underestimate. Tornadoes look flashy and ferocious but might wreck a few blocks.

Hurricanes look like some extra heavy rain to people and they treat them like some false fire alarm malfunction.

Because even without the cringey controversy it's still awkward and not dynamic, and cringey to watch. So the best you'll get is intense button mashing for a racing game or flying the controller around like a space ship for everything else.

Password guessing

A big and recent offender occurs in Ozark, where Laura Linney needs to get into Jason Bateman's computer but doesn't know the password, so she picks up a magazine or some shit and reads the bar code or ISBN number and it works. Biggest joke I've ever seen, especially considering there was no precursor to her being able to guess that. Like even if Bateman said to Linney at some point "oh I like using ISBN numbers as passwords" or some shit like that, then I'd get it. But there was no pretext whatsoever.

That said, aside from that and a few other things that bugged me, it really is a good show.

I've actually found out the password to my friends computer like that back in the day. His parents locked it out when they weren't there and I was guessing password from stuff around the desk. Turned out it was a phrase on a cd. Hacker/detective skills+1000 when it worked hahaha!
