If it's the latter, I'd advise you to not buy any packs from the Whispers of the Old Gods or Mean Streets of Gadgetzan sets because they'll be rotating out of Standard in less than a month. One Night in Karazhan is an adventure you can buy and it'll be rotating out as well. You'll be able to purchase it later with real money but the option to buy it using only gold will become unavailable when it rotates out of Standard unless you purchase the first wing beforehand. Those 3 sets/adventure will still be available to play in Wild mode, where all the cards are legal, but if you're just starting out and don't have a collection, I recommend Standard as the way to go, especially with a rotation coming up. It's a smaller investment in the short-term. If you're buying any packs, though, Classic is the way to go when first starting out because those cards will always be legal to play in all modes. --- The final Undisputed Champion in UCA history. |

| davidponte 03/20/18 1:00:33 AM #91 | I don't think I've ever encountered Lyris in the dozens of Dungeon Runs I did while trying to beat it with every class. I had to google the name because I had no idea who you were talking about! As for the treasures it really depends on the deck you're playing but I had the most success with Scepter of Summoning and Captured Flag for big decks and aggro decks, respectively. If you manage to get both pieces of the Blade of Quel'Delar you are almost guaranteed a win there. Apparently Wax Rager is very overpowered but I've never chosen it. You can make it work with basically any treasure picks, though. It really just comes down to getting offered minions and spells that synergize with your deck. Jades are extremely OP in Shaman, Rogue, and Druid. --- The final Undisputed Champion in UCA history. |
