and then you immediately see the CHAOS of this broken universe (protease) Now that you have experienced the DESTRUCTION OF REALITY with chibi robo staff roll, whats next? Chaos? A formidable foe? Yeah, something pretty intense is going on in this destroyed universe that chibi robo left behind for you to be inside of. BE CAREFUL

and then you listen to prime 4507 for 1 hour which only adds to the chaos; and it's 1 hour so you can't say that the previous song being loud made you think the song was too quiet man this cute start is such a contrast. Unfortunately for me, potentially surprisingly??:? This match is very close, meaning...i am going to have to listen back and forth to these two tracks a lot to fully decide, which, given the length of one of them, is not an easy task. See you around eventually!!! On this particular listen, im noticing how so much of this track feels a lot like cuter pmd2 tracks, which is making me think hideki sakamotos contribution to that game was more prominent than i thought (even though i knew about other music he did that soundded like pmd like the Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? series. I always suspected hideki sakamoto only did a handful of tracks while keisuke ito did most. My guess now is that the cuter pmd2 songs are very very likely hideki sakamoto now though, like the funny ones). My favorite parts of this are the parts that are sorta odd time-y like the section around 33:03-33:33 or 39:30. I just really love this guys composition style. I just ralized some of the melody lines in this song are the same as recurring themes in starbound by shnabubula hahaha. Man i did NOT think i could be voting this way but i have to give it to echo chrome

Misty era is so funny to me and it is making me laugh as i am listening to it while i am eating breakfast which is making it hard to eat. I know it is supposed to be SERIOUS AND EPIC (Which i like about it) but for some reason i think it is really funnyits hard to describe. Some of its the contrast of the voices style to the music itself. Interesting style of this

Supraspatial was one of the most standout things to me during noms. I love how many separate ways it gives you to break down the rhythms inside of the same space of time. Insane sound design...and some parts are surprisingly normal and their contrast feels very powerful against the crazier and harder-to-follow sections. Just an amazingly balanced piece and honestly probably one of my favorite tracks in the entire contest when i think about it

protease is like isoleucine and deoxyribose had a worse baby but the baby is still very cool i love the single voice deoxyribose motif IRONICALLY the thing i love most in prime is also the motif!!! or rather the infant motif coming back at the end of the life/song. feel bad after all this effort getting prime in that i still def prefer protease lol but i think on certain days this could be swapped. but not todaty

Oh hey, another prog metal song..this one is more aesthetically traditionally prog metal, but compositionially much more wild. A tough call here. There are some parts of this that are like literally derek sherinian sounding and planet x (band) tier tho...i think i have to give it to this one

I like this song so so much more than i did when it was the older days. Though tuned percussion with delay echoes reverberating their metallic clanks into the abyss has /always/ been my thing

Ok so see my concept for the bracket track order was that the final song was just an illusion..you THOUGHT that would be the final song(because it was calledthe final song) and this would be the credits song after the final song. But actually instead of credits you just went into the distorted reality warped zone..and this is the FAKE CREDITS. And now youre traveling between 50 realities at the speed of a new reality every 5 seconds. But the big challenge. Thats up next. This sounds like it would be the music to a modern commercial for some website that zoomers use like tiktok that i dont know what it is, except they made the commercial sound really small instead of really big

The irony is the song that sounds really big is the one where the track title is in all caps. This match is so funny, i am so glad that my own jokes make myself smile

The morphing synth pads in the background of this one are even cooler than normal ones, and i already like normal ones!!! The electric piano is so nice and crystallineits actually quiet in the mix, but it pierces through the heavens like a ceramic spear that is translucent

Beyond the bounds is cool because the voices are so rhythmic

Polymeter is one way to win over my heart...i dont even really remember that being here, but whenever i notice it in a song it makes me like it like 20x more . it might sound like some arbitraryi noticed a number so now i like it more but its much more than that to me. Something about this feeling of offset--more than one thing to concentrate at once and one of them being with a different loop length, that just feels extremely c ool and stimulating to me and it always opens up the mood of a track to me PROFOUNDLY , like now i am in two places at once and omniscient in a way you can only experience in a dream, instead of looking at a painting that is a still image, now i am in 8 peoples consciousnesses at once and unraveling the mystery from all these perspectives simultaneously and learning the truth behind every corner of the experts. The sound set of ffmc always stands out to me; i always remember what it sounds like but not what the music is melodically(actually my memory is more timbre-centric than melody-centric so this makes sense)

Today I was listening to astaroth battle from shadow hearts covenant from a CD in the car while i was playing simultaneously my brothers pokemon go and my own pokemon go on both of our phones at the same time while my brother was driving around (you shouldnt drive at the same time as playing pokemon go that was why i was playing both of ours at once) at strategic locations to get pokemon stops. And when i was listening to that song i said so many good things enthusiastically about that song(astaroth battle); this song reminds me of that song, i am so glad for that. Yasunori mitsuda is a genius(definition of genuis: makes things that make me happy)

On this listen: i just realized that the muted trumpet sound was something i had been interpreted as being a distorted human voice this entire time. Thats a pretty amazing thing to be able to say about the unique way that they managed to get that instrument to sound i think. Ed harrison is so good at making c ool sounds all around this; all these sounsd morph in subtle ways it is so great. I wish this match was closer for me than it was,,,or that i c ould vote for this in some way, but i will show my support by saying nice things about the song out loud with my voice in real life
