I bought a pre-order for basically the first time in Hearthstone because I wasn't earning much gold this expansion and the next one looks bonkers.

Went 2nd, 8th, 2nd, and 4th in Battlegrounds. Last game was interesting because I bought that two of that dude who damages you and gets +2 each time you summon a demon, and ultimately I lost because my health was at 1 and I couldn't develop my board any further.

I'm not, but I got a house larger than my immediate needs just in case I'd be sharing my space with at least one other person. I have a roommate lined up for the time being.

How much? I'm infinitely fascinated with home prices in other parts of the country right now since even the smallest imaginable foreclosed roach pits around here are $350,000 minimum.

$180k. That's definitely low for the county, but a pinch on the upper end for my zip code. I don't have a great deal tying me to the area, so I considered moving to some place where prices for things are even cheaper (and warmer), but at least I don't live in San Francisco.

Philadelphia suburbs. 3 BR, listed as 1344 ft^2 without including the finished basement. IIRC, when I mapped out the floor plan of the house, it was about 40x15.

Anything you're looking forward to, and anything you're kind of dreading?

I'm looking forward to some relative privacy. My current roommate is great, but she has a daughter and the two of them kind of take over the house when they're around. I get plenty of time to myself, but it makes it that much more noticeable when they're here.

I'm not looking forward to home maintenance, doing all the cleaning myself, buying all the little things I realized I don't have...yeah, lots of stuff. But there's upside, too, or I wouldn't be doing it. Plus, I needed a change.

I mean, yeah, there's some terrible teams this year, which have made some of the weeks relatively easy, but eventually picking against them stops being an option. I'm sure this can't continue.

NES Legend of Zelda is absolutely outstanding that's still great to play today, but practically, and sadly, most would give up on it after the first 1 or 2 screens.

I gave up on it in one or two screens back then, and have ever since.

I still love other Zelda games.

Firewatch is awesome precisely for that reason, and you should spoiler your reply. Although, considering you already know what to expect, it's probably not going to have much impact.

On another note, Monika vs Nagito, huh. I know you like DanganRonpa. I wouldn't necessarily expect you to rate DDLC that highly. I was hoping Henry might factor in higher...I wonder how it would have gone if it were Delilah instead. (And obviously my own noms. I would have been floored if Katrina had gone the distance, but my own personal connection to her would put her above the other folks on this list.)

With SMB1 and SMB3 listed recently, SMW went completely forgotten to me, so I started contemplating what it could have been. I guessed maybe it was MGS2. I gasped at the thought that it could be Pong. Then I realized...wait, where's Sonic? Surely they wouldn't have zero Sonic and then toss one of the Genesis originals at freaking #1, right?

Diablo 3's story was so awful.

That it was. Pretty much every component of it was completely transparent.

OTOH, if you look at the story of Diablo II, was that really any better? I mean, it didn't have obvious characters acting obvious, but that's because it simply didn't have characters. The NPCs in the game were merely conduits for the gameplay.

Lich King was the point where I stopped caring about WoW. They released an expansion where there was no incentive to run 5-mans, the 5-mans were all short uninvolved affairs as an evolution of Classic to TBC to then, and there was no raid content. (Well, okay, there were two isolated bosses and a recycled zone I'd already seen.) And we had to wait months before anything else was added. I left out of boredom, came back when Ulduar was released, and the first boss was bullshit vehicle combat. After that, I was out. I didn't care any more. Plus it was almost a year again before the next real raid zone was released -- no, I don't count TGT. Every day had devolved into grinding dailies because there was nothing else of value besides chasing achievements.

The first thing I did when I came to this nomination, before I even looked at Bayos Wiki page, was I googled women on the bayonetta staff. I was looking to see if any prominent people who worked on the games were female. What I found was a discussion among women about whether the character is sexist or problematic. My gut reaction has always been that a character created by men whose very moveset revolves around objectifying herself for the titillation of the (mostly male) demographic is inherently sexist.

As for whether a woman who puts her sexuality on display is inherently feminist or anti-feminist, that depends heavily on who you talk to. I won't hash that out here and derail the topic, however the deciding factor here ultimately has to be in how she carries herself, and I noticed absolutely no attention in the write-up is given to anything other than her aesthetic. She does have, like, a backstory and stuff. If the only factor one considers is her sex appeal, then of course she's going to be regarded as nothing but horny male spankbait.
