I'm not up-to-date on One Piece, last I left off was just as the gang was leaving Big Mom's island, but god damn Luffy hasn't even beat kaido yet? I thought we'd be on to the inevitable 5 elder showdown by now
the alliance (the scabbards, straw hats, law, and several others) are just heading in for a battle at the capital of Wano.

I think they're going to get stomped, then another faction (marines/blackbeard) arrives and the distraction allows for an escape

really though, sanji and usopp's fights tend to be the most interesting to me:

Sanji is clever, and his opponents generally resort to some sort of trickery. he has to be a problem solver.
Usopp's fights generally involve him telling a bold-faced lie, getting beaten nearly to death (almost like some sort of divine punishment for his lie) and then finding it within himself to keep going.

Luffy and Zoro have interesting recurring themes in their fights too, but they're more... generic maybe? at any rate, I don't find them as interesting

But Lord Farquaad? He looks like a tiny ugly evil selfish cruel vindictive man, has the reputation of a tiny ugly evil selfish cruel vindictive man.... then turns out to be a tiny ugly evil selfish cruel vindictive man That seems to counteract what they were doing with everyone else.
I don't think this is entirely accurate. he doesn't have the reputation for being tiny and ugly at the start. Lord Farquad wants to be perceived as bigger, both literally and figuratively (i.e. "more important") than he really is.

(note: it's been a while since I've seen the movie, so I'm going by memory. some of this information might not be entirely accurate)

I believe his first scene is him torturing the gingerbread man, someone much smaller than him. and it's set up to make him appear big.

Duloc is also notably an extremely artificial place (the mechanical dancers saying how "perfect" it is draw obvious parallels to Disneyland, though that's another issue). everything is fake, including Farquad's self-importance.

even when Shrek is fighting the soldiers, Farquad is far above him, giving an appearance of grandeur. just because this facade is shattered fairly early on in the movie doesn't mean it's not there.

Farquad wants to be seen as something he's not, making him a direct foil to Shrek, who wants to be seen as who he is.

The confluence of factors which results in a creature that creates ova is female and that which creates sperm is male.
you're making the same mistake as you were initially. sex is a lot more complicated than "sperm or egg" and this reductive binary is no longer sufficient for scientific purposes.

like if you were to graph the sex of every single person en earth, you'd get something like this:

people with two testes, a penis, a prostate, xy chromosomes, whose bodies produce certain amounts of certain hormones, etc. would be at one peak. people with two developed breasts, a uterus, a vagina, ovaries, xx chromosomes, whose bodies produce certain amounts of certain hormones, etc. would be at the other. every variation from that would be a little bit more distant from a peak.

treating it as though only the peaks existed worked most of the time, for most people. but it's not the way things actually are, and it's insufficient for our purposes now

I think the idea of "anti-racist" as a more extreme version of "not racist" is misguided and simplistic and doesn't recognize racism as a systemic issue.

A lot of people in this topic are simply stating things like this but as Patchwork has pointed out, there is no statistical evidence that "good cops" are the minority.

If you show me 8000 videos of different police officers abusing their power or committing "brutality," and I seriously doubt anyone could even find half of that, I will show you 1% of sworn law enforcement in the US. If you could somehow provide proof of 80,000 bad police officers, I will show 10% of sworn law enforcement. If you are saying good cops are in the minority, you are saying over 400,000 officers are bad.

I keep on hearing talk of police officers being murderers but they are significantly more likely to be killed by the general population than the general population is to be killed by them.
all cops, as part of the terms of their employment, agree to enforce all laws. this includes laws that are unjust or cruel.

cops are not bad because of the actions of a few of them; they're bad because they're cops.

Those areas are their own ecosystems which need to be fixed. Basically, if the percentage of black people killed and harassed by police is primarily systemic across the country, the percentage should be roughly the same regardless of sample size. But if there are several major areas that alone account for that percentage, then it's more of a localized issue. It's the same thing with murder and gun deaths. If 20-50% of them are happening in one single area, it's a sign that a local area is broken rather than the entire US being broken. These numbers are just out of my ass obviously.
so basically what you're suggesting is that black communities being targeted disproportionately by police is their own problem
