Another thing that sucks is team talks.

I have a player, one of my Centre defenders who is always up my ass about my team talks.

I am up 1-0 over Manchester City in the FA cup at the half. I have a talented squad but my team isn't as good as Man C and I am the underdog. Plus I found a "perfect" tactic online that has been improving but hasn't really given me great results outside of the last month in game.

So, I tell my sla- err, men: Things can change quickly in soccer, stay focused.

The point is to tell my guys if you slow down any, they WILL come back. Don't let that happen.

This topic kind of went somewhere but I find it funny I see a thread on there where tucker carlson is like "the george floyd story was a lie" and of course the general consensus in the thread is agreement. However, one thing is that people reference a lot of stuff about floyd(watch the ENTIRE body cam footage, he was a bad dude(yes obviously we all know this), the knee wasn't on his neck, Chavin was following procedure from the academy, a second autoposy, BLM intimidating jurors, etc but nowhere do they touch on Dr. Martin Tobin's testimony about how this could have happened. He was probably the most critical testimony in the trial in terms of the medical side of things...but nowhere does anybody bring it up.

It's weird because I haven't seen much about Floyd lately because the trial is over and done with, so to see this brought up again has me thinking. I don't know all the facts about it, but Tucker Carlson is not the person i'd trust to actually get to the bottom of it and tell us truthfully, but no mention of Dr. Tobin in that thread, which you'd need to bring up if you want to actually "combat the lies" and prove this trial was a sham media circus and Chauvin did nothing wrong. However, I have not seen this particular episode of the Tucker Carlson podcast to see if he mentions it.

One of the best benefits of being in a union as far as I can tell is job security. In a union job it is harder to get fired. So while yes, terrible workers can be retained because of the union, people cannot be fired for bullshit as much.

One of my co-workers at wal-mart got fired because a manager who did not like him claimed he recieved more customer complaints than he has ever had levied against him, apparently, in a matter of hours in one day. No union, you're let go. No way to prove you didn't get those customer complaints and even if you have grounds for legal recourse is it worth the time and money? It may not be. In a union, the union provides you legal representation, but even just in general a story like that where a manager claims they recieved 4 customer complains about an individual in one hour might just be laughed out of the room, because if there is no proof these complaints happened, there simply is no proof they happened.

If unions didn't help their employees, then why are companies like Walmart and Starbucks so determined to squash them?

This reminds me of when I worked at wal-mart. During the hiring or orientation phase they showed me an anti union video. Then, after, they told me to go out into the lobby and sit on this one specific bench while they discussed things. An old man came over, sat down, and asked me if I was applying for wal-mart and when I said yes was talking all kinds anti-union stuff. So obviously a plant in hindsight.

My view is not all unions are good. Some are and some aren't. The union my employees are in is alright, their contract got negotiated and they got some decent stuff. The union I am in generally follows suit so if it's good for them it ought to be good for me.

Ultimately the best is a company that actually gives their employees good wages and benefits and matches for inflation, but that hardly ever happens, so unions come in and some are good and some are bad, but I doubt if the job sucks and union sucks the company itself would be any better left 100% to their own devices.

Places like Wal-Mart and Starbucks are scared of unions, but I have to ask why...because we all know these companies don't actually care for their employees but somehow when it comes to unions they care enough about their employees livelihood to make sure they make the right choice.

I worked at a wal-mart for 7 years and I quit because as a cashier I was tired of having a line of people all day because there was only a few cashiers on hand at any given moment + self checkout. When I started they had 4 self checkouts and decent human register staffing. Then, maybe 5ish years into it, it turned from decent human staffing and 4 self checkouts to bare minimum human staffing with the same 4 self checkouts.

A line like this isn't caused because there are only self checkouts, it's because there aren't enough checkouts in general open. Sometimes you get 20 people who want to checkout at once. Though I don't know the reason for the lineup here, it is kind of disingenuous to say the store only going to self checkout is the cause of this. The line may also seem bigger because of the "choke point" that may be there. If you have 4 self checkout lanes open, people form one line behind the area with the checkouts. If you instead had 4 human registers the lines would be more dispersed but you'd still be waiting a similar amount of time.

When I go shopping I use self checkouts the majority of the time and only a human cashier if they are the only option. I never find self checkouts difficult to use so long as I read the prompts. Very rarely do I need an attendant to come over. Though, I have experience overseeing them from my wal-mart days, they aren't really all that difficult to use if you read.

Anyways, for a slight misdirection here is how I accomplished my LLG. This was easy, in some games I cannot comprehend how it's done but this one was simple.

Mostly I would draw a ton of magic from enemies(I liked actually playing the card game so I didn't card the rare ones for stuff until late in the game I could get multiple copies) for junctioning, then I would run away(no XP if I didn't attack), turn the enemy into a card(must be attacked to weaken so card will work, but carding gives AP but no EXP), or stone them. I did gain some XP because I forgot dream world characters gain XP for the main ones, but I did not gain the 1,000 required to gain a level. Then when you get the magic lamp for diablos, you beat him because his strategy is easy to figure out and plan for and junctioning a ton of magic makes you strong enough you don't struggle but you aren't steamrolling him) and then card enemies until you get enough AP for enc none.

Carding enemies, drawing and junctioning magic(can be done faster than I did if you card your cards into stuff) and then enc none.

Conversely, when I'd play normally I'd get to level 100, because it is easy to do, it's just 100,000 XP from the start of the game until the end. The game is more difficult at level 100 but with junctioning magic it's still pretty easy, though killing the island of heaven and hell creatures is a lot more annoying.

I just did a lowest level game in FF8, which is the first time I've ever done an LLG. This is extremely easy to do. I've also beat it at max level. People complain about enemies scaling to your level but it just doesn't matter in the end. good junctioning beats all. Plus higher level enemies have better magic to draw, so some of the better magics are a little easier to acquire that way.

The junction system is cool in some ways. I know it was fun drawing magic and seeing what junctioned to what, every new enemy or boss was interesting in this regard. Drawing magic is kinda tedious...one thing that may help the magic stat controls how much you draw from enemies. So if your magic is low, maybe 1-5 spells, but higher magic 5-9 more often. This doesn't affect draw points as far as i can tell. So you can reduce the time a little. But it is still a pain.

Another obvious downside is using spells does detract from the spell count junctioned to something making you weaker. Now, for one boss battle using magic is okay, 97 spells isn't much worse off than 100 junctioned to something but they may be spells that are a pain in the ass to get again, though the Islands of Heaven and Hell help with this because they have draw points for most of the best magic on them. So yeah if you like using magic, it's a bummer but also if you want to use that one aura spell just go ahead. But you can't use them all the dang time.

https://www.newsweek.com/kevin-mccarthy-donald-trump-indictments-bar-house-speaker-fact-check-1832140

So it seems like rule 26 does bar Trump from being speaker because of his indictments. BUT the GOP can create a committee to change the rules which would not be above them to do...

Then it comes down to every single democrat voting no, and we'd need 4 republicans to also vote no, then we get probably an even bigger clown show then when mccarthy was elected in the first place. I don't see trump getting every republican vote, so I don't think this will happen. But it could, because we have a party who would absolutely make a committee to change the rules for their own gain.

People on the right need to realize if trump becomes speaker he will use that position to fuel his presidential run and not much else. It IS cute MTG actually thinks trump cares about her trans bill and that he'd do anything for her, but it isn't surprising.

I don't think it is. The people who reuse their plastic bags will just have to find a different solution.

Working in retail I've seen people get a plastic bag they presumably didn't want for their one item or whatever and just throw the bag away in the garbage as soon as they leave the store. I'd imagine for everybody who reuses them one time for garbage or pet litter doesn't eclipse the people who use them once total and throw them out.

No. These people save their plastic bags from grocery store trips and reuse them for their dogs poop or cats litter. They don't fill them up they use them once and throw them out.

All this means is pet owners are going to have to purchase actual bags for their pets waste instead of having readily available free plastic bags.

I'd imagine using a plastic bag twice, once to carry groceries and once for pet litter, still isn't a super efficient use of them, even if it is better than just being used for grocery.

Plastics can take anywhere from 20-600+ years to degrade, which I feel like a lot of people don't realize or care because that's the main reason i don't like 'em.

To me there is something a little weird about the current culture where everything can be graded.

Sports cards and currency were the original collectors items to be graded(as far as I can tell) and it made sense because in addition to the score you get it in a container that will keep the item safe. I guess that container thing holds true for other items but it just seems weird for a funko box to be excased in plastic with a score on it.

The more grading that happens to more things, the more watered down grading gets even though it'll turn into a formality that you can't really sell it without the grade. We even see this in the currency world when respected grading houses are now officially recognizing and labeling their slabs with minor errors that aren't too difficult to find. Like where the star in a star note serial number is all filled in, which it is supposed to be a hollow star. It is nice this gets designation as an official error, as it is one, but it's common enough it doesn't need to be called out on the slab itself as if it were something major like a second shift overprint error(I made that one up but it sounds legit so we'll go with it).

Anyways, thanks for listening to my weird rambles that probably didnt even have a clear point.

As somebody who refuses a plastic bag because i either have my own or its a few items i can carry, this is good. plastic bags don't degrade very quickly and i assume most are used once and then thrown out and this prevents landfills from being bombarded with plastic bags and them littering our fields and waterways.

But man, the people who NEED them for their cat/dog shit are going to be so insufferable. There are no other solutions to clean their pets mess outside of free plastic bags....

This is going to be a rough few months in the retail world in my neck of the woods only because some people just won't be able to handle it.
