Sports cards are highly collectible, so I don't think it's fair to say you could buy a signed messi poster for X, why would a sports card sell for Y. The values are kinda inflated on things because it's sports cards that you have a smaller chance to get, some items being one of ones.

What's so special about it?

I used to buy sports cards and now I don't because it's a huge money sink, but I do get satisfaction from watching box break videos, and what I can say is, those high end boxes that cost thousands of dollars are generally not worth it. The common cards in these sets seem to be numbered to 50 or 100, but since they're the commons it doesn't matter. What does matter is how big your hits are. If you get, say, a 16 signature booklet signed by some all time greats, sweet. sometimes it's just cool stuff but not really worth the buy in cost.

I actually just feel bad for the other 3. They probably are wasting their time. However, their info will be saved, and if somebody here goes elsewhere I can look at them first as previous applicants.

Permanent part timers get virtually zero benefits except buying into a couple of similar but different vesting options. When they become full time they get way, way more, and the job is actually worth it.

So, cost isn't an issue. I would prefer, mostly, the 40 hour person. I'd rather deal with one person over two, and they can work longer in a given day.

So...I work at a liquor store, right? I work in the slowest store in the district, battling out some place called California Ave closer to the city as for that honor.

I work with 3 people. One is my assistant manager, a guy who is kinda weird and smelly, but he does what he is asked reasonably enough, and he offers good suggestions sometimes. So overall I like him.

The other people are: an 82 year old man and a 42 year old man who is mentally slow to some degree.

Now, while I like a lot of things about those two, I was hoping this new hire could be the go-getter I lack among the regular employees. Somebody who shows drive and ambition. We have four applicants.

My job requires me to hire veterans first if they want the job AND state they can do the things listed in the position requirements.

So, the only person I talked to about hiring was: a 70ish year old, apparently army veteran who only wants 18 hours a week.

...I was prepared to give it to the person with the best interview(including this guy, if it was), but I have to give it to this guy who just wants to work 18 hours a week and may have little actual drive or ambition.

Now, since I work at a store this small and slow, it isn't that big of a deal because it runs fine. However, I really want to train the next generation over here and I can't!

I kinda forgot you gain levels for your main characters when in Laguna dream world. I have not gained a level, but people have gained XP before I decided to check on that.

Doesn't matter to me that they gained EXP. I just want lowest level, not one point of XP at all. Some people even do not want Seifer or Edea to get XP even.

In some way it is beneficial. Enemies are weaker as their level scales with you. But some enemies have higher level magic to draw at a higher level. But you can refine cards and items for magic so you have multiple ways to get something. Game isnt difficult at any level if you even half ass junctioning.

Yeah i get to 100 eventually for more of a challenge it is easy to get to 100 because your exp needed for lvl up doesnt increase. The game isnt hard at level 100 either.

This isnt that difficult. Lotsa gridning for magic and AP but otherwise no big deal. You can get enc none in the first 10% of the game. Otherwise its carding enemies for no EXP but AP for gaurdian force abilities and using break on things you can't card to avoid XP(some battles are forced like the soldiers in Timber)

Ive never done an LLG before. Only thing that sucks is characters do not start at level 1. Squall is 8, selphie is 9 and rhinoa is 11. Thats just how it is. They havent gained a single exp point yet though

I have 3 ways to play from my phone.

Option A) Bluetooth. This is great because I can control the next song from my steering wheel, but I need to use my phone to change songs(unless next/random is what I want), unless I haven't discovered another way. The audio quality is not the best, either. Granted for a car it's fine, but I know it could be better.

Option B) USB. This one is problematic because, the car defaults to reading the SD card in my phone through it's own proprietary way, so I cannot use the program on my phone as mediator as with bluetooth. So this means 1) shuffle is really fucked up and b) It cannot play FLAC so, there goes 75% of my library.

Option C) AUX cord. This is the best sound quality wise but I would need to control everything via my phone, which is distracting because I haven't invested in a phone holder, but even so switching sings via steering wheel is best.

So, what the fuck do I do? I guess I have to use bluetooth. AUX is too risky because changing songs is distracting, USB is out because it cannot interpret my flac files.

According to this, it has a 30 meter water resistance. That means you can wash you hands or go outside in a drizzle. You would never actually submerge the watch underwater.

When I was 19 I got fired for stealing from a grocery store I worked at. This doesn't absolve me of blame, i totally deserved it, but most of the stock workers stole stuff and that job sucked. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still paying everybody the federal minimum(which is also my states minimum) wage a decade later.

I know why I use it forever: I like to collect currency by searching for "fancy" dollar bills. My ATMs let me withdraw money and choose the denominations, so I go there and sometimes get my daily max($500) in just ones. Takes a while.

I love hearing announcers get excited when epic shit happens in sports. Some moments aren't so good(Helmet catch from David Tyree in the super bowl Giants vs Patriots) where Joe Buck hardly has any emotion. Another one I can't stand is when Aleksander Karelin fell to Rulon Gardner in the 2000 Olympic men's Greco-Roman wrestling final match...the NBC announcer goes "Do you believe in miracles again?"

Well i've been posting on these forums for 600 years and I've never noticed a problem!

also, some other Pittsburgh things: the Pirates went to the playoffs 3 years in a row(2013, 14 and 15). All 3 of those years were the play-in game, where they lost 2 of them but to me that counts(but it isn't impressive).

And yeah, PNC park ranks top 5 in any listing of best stadiums in America. Entering the city via the Fort Pitt Tunnels has been rated as one of the best ways to enter a US city and also been called "the only city with a front door" because, say, if you are coming from the airport, all you see is suburbia/rolling hills of Western PA until you pass through the tunnel and the city smacks you in the face on the other side.

As far as the Pirates future, I expect us to compete next year and be legit good in 2 years, because our core of young players look like they can develop well. Right now we aren't that great but that same core makes us a really interesting team to watch. Though, this team does let you down so if in 3 years we haven't done anything i say par for the course.

Now, there are colorways I liked more, but some of those were limited edition and some of those were a different style of cocktail time.

The dials on these watches are very nice and do not need a date window, so in this instance i do prefer the date dial. I also wanted this style because it has a power reserve function which I have always wanted.

So, yeah. I was fixated on the cocktail time because i work in the liquor business but they are nice looking watches and Seiko is one of the budget kings so you can't go wrong.

Pennsylvania offers pensions for their liquor store employees, as they are gov't run. It IS gov't, but it's regular retail for the most part.

Where i live 660k can get you a large house in a nice suburb. Nice yard, amenities, whatever.

I'm okay with 50%+ less work at this new store. That's really what it boils down to from my perspective.

So I get what people are saying about no increase, but at the same time this store is much slower with less going on, so for the same rate of pay my workload is going to be cut in half, so I consider it worth it in a sense....it's just the job titles the Commonwealth uses. Assistant of my current grade is equal to a GM of a store like the one I am going to be at, hence no extra pay. However, because my workload is going to be significantly less and I won't have to listen to people all day telling me what to do, I see a lot of upside in this. Even things like the hours of operation are better. My current store is 11-7 sundays and 9-9 the rest of the week. This store is closed sundays and 11-7 every other day, so I won't have to wake up super early sans truck day, I won't have to work all that late, and I guaranteed have every Sunday off by default. Some extra GM responsibilities, but a LOT of things I don't have to worry about working in a small hole in the wall where you get customers every 5 minutes or more, so once I get the hang of the GM-specific stuff, there should be a lot less work and headache to go around vs my current store.

FF7 plays fine today. The graphics on the newest steam version are fine. the controls are kinda weird in places but essentially it's just menus and walking.

What excites me the most is not having to listen to people day in and day out as the GM...I set the random rules and quirks of the store. And I get to set up my own office. A lot of offices have dumb things hanging up like out of date references and security camera photos of people who stole stuff years ago from completely different stores. I can do whatever the fuck I want in some ways, and boy that makes me happy.

Plus I plan on hanging up some of the photos I have taken inside liquor stores....until somebody tells me to take 'em down, if they ever do. This one isn't necessarily a candidate for being on display because it has some issues, but just an idea of what i'm talkin' about

As usual, there is no perfect watch in the lineup. I like "Dry" but its hard to find and I only see two used ones on ebay. I like the crazy texture and colors of "frozen margarita" "margarita" and "tequilla sunrise" but I don't like the alternating lines and numerals on them. I also feel with that crazy dial they do not need the date window.

I am kinda leaning towards the style with the power reserve and date wheel. I've always wanted a power reserve and this is an affordable power reserve option, but the color choices there aren't all my favorite and the ones I really like are limited and hard to get or just more expensive because of it.

What do you guys say? what's your favorite? does anybody own one of these?

Being a GM of a store would be cool anyways but I am a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania employee because this state still runs on the old "state store" system so this is actually my retirement job.

I got a "promotion" to be the GM of the slowest store in the district. I used quotes because my current level of assistant manager is equal to that level of GM. I don't mind the no pay increase only because while I will have more GM responsibilities, this is the kinda store where you get a customer every 5 minutes and it's slow, so I can learn and get a handle on things in a much more relaxed environment than where I work now.

So, I was day dreaming that if I got this store I would make it my own place where I spread positive messages and vibes and all employees and customers are treated with respect. This place is going to be a Zone of Positivity...

Anyways, a year ago in this company I was just a ground level "permanent part timer" getting 25-32 hours a week. I did that for a few years, and then less than a year out from that, here we are. My own dang store.

I am pretty excited for this.
