if somebody pays with a US coin you think could be fake, always accept it and buy it out of the drawer. the most you lose is a dollar(in the case of dollar coins) Well maybe not always, depends on what it is you have.

It could be a weird but legal coin worth a lot of money. highly valuable errors include coins struck on the wrong composition planchet(such as a penny that should be zinc struck on a copper planchet), double denomination coins(such as a penny on one side a dime on the other), and a coin struck on the wrong size planchet(such as a quarter struck on a nickel sized planchet).

youre looking for those grey/white edges. so stack em up, flip them on their side and check. any sort of copper color and its clad.

would be hilarious if that woman did pay with all silver proofs. she could have gotten way more money going to a pawn shop since the silver content is a few bucks alone(and thats gauranteed value so to speak, not speculative like collector value)

yeah, proofs look fake, but its a special mint strike to get the sweet look. Honestly i guess it isnt a surprise these end up in circulation since they are legal tender. but it just seems odd since they are specifically for collectors

Like there are some people who troll but I can tell they just do it when they're bored at work/traveling/downtime for their own amusement but it doesnt seem to control their entire lifes work. These people generally will break character once in a while and say yeah they are trolling for their own amusement. generally these people dont go after or attack others or keep the same bogus argument/fight going on for 100+ posts.

But the people who are the opposite spectrum of troll, where you feel like they NEED to troll or are addicted to it, are belligerent to others constantly, never break character, keep the same arguments going for 100+ posts, always get defensive when somebody calls them out as a troll, etc...

You know i've learned a lot about internet trolls from this website. I mean actual trolls, not just "that guy doesnt have the same opinion as I do" but rather "im posting specifically with the purpose of pissing people off"

its interesting how soccer as the UEFA champions league which is considered the premier tournament(in some cases i think matters more than winning the domestic league) but that can sustain itself because top quality teams come from several leagues and not just one.

to be fair, in all major sports(hockey, basketball, gridiron football and baseball), no other countries league comes close in terms of talent.

Maybe hockey with the KHL? i dont know. I mean, I wouldnt throw around the world champion title unless you had a tournament where you beat other teams from other countries(similar to the uefa champions league or world cup), but a team from the US league would likely win every time.

edit: perhaps a canadian team could win in hockey or sneak one out in baseball or basketball but still mainly american leagues

the way canada does it makes sense. if you pay by card the price is what it is(ex 2.49) but id you pay cash the total rounds(so 2.50 instead of 2.49)

prices dont have to change but customers pay a little less or more depending on method

fun fact: you can melt down us coins except for pennies and nickels. idk about nickels but copper pennies(pre 82) are worth anywhere from 2-3 cents depending on copper melt and people actively hoard(i do not) them to double their money when it is legal. that would fuck shit up since you see tons and tons of pre 82 pennies in circulaton even with peolle hoarding.

another thing that gets me is it seems like the people in these stories pay with loose pennies. if you go to a bank to get them they are rolled which is a fairly straightforward manner. if you open them to pay with loose pennies youre just trying to make this an ordeal even more than it was.

so i did google for information and it seems i was right. businesses do not have to accept pennies if they dont want to.

which is good because fuck that. if i worked at a place and somebody wantes to be funny and pay with thousands of pennies is tell them to fuck off.

But some people think they HAVE to accept his pennies as they are legal currency. My view, without any sort of research into it, is no, they dont, and yes, they can tell him to fuck off with his pennies and return with paper money or a card.

but again I dont know either way, but the main crux of the argument from the other side seems to be that pennies are legal currency, which they are, but places arent required by law to accept cash, which is why some things you cannot pay cash for(such as online businesses).

since my downstairs flooded and we're working on getting new floors, i had to move my shit upstairs, and instead of having yet another night where my mom watches the news block of hannity and judge pirro on fox news, as i try to ignore it/put headphones on i figure i'd retreat into my bedroom where i never go but to sleep, to watch tv, which i never do.

so i passed out at a reasonable hour and woke up early. work is at 11. i have around two hours to bullshit, which is cool. took a shower last night so i dont need one today.

thing is, because i work, i still feel a little tired despite 10+ hours of rest. If I was off i'd be feeling great.

im off tomorrow though hell yeah

Not only did I get a front row spot, the show was super awesome and at the end of it I caught one of Atom Willard's drum sticks(but two other guys latched on at once. one of them said "friends, no need to fight. lets rock paper scissors for it), and overall an awesome show.

Second best is Whole Wheat Bread in 2010 or so. I dont know what it was but they killed it live. songs I didnt even enjoy by them were given new life and sounded great.
