Do you think Tayler crossed the line and deserves prison?

22 y/o Seductive Teacher, Tayler Boncal from Connecticut is facing at least 9 MONTHS in PRISON to up to 10 YEARS plus 10,000 in fines for allegedly having SEX with an 18 y/o STUDENT!!

She's a social science teacher and track coach who is now accused of "sexually assaulting" the male teen student even though he told her he LOVED her after she was arrested as he AND his mom don't want to press charges against her...but the prosecutor is the one who made the decision to go ahead anyway

She was busted when another student found out about the affair who then told their mom and then told the school's athletic director about it who then told the principal and then the police were called..

Tayler and the teen had ORAL SEX and intercourse several times after striking up a relationship at Conard High School as she also taught the teen some of her classes. It was first reported that the teen was not a student of hers but now it's been shown that he in fact was..

It started in December when the horndog asked for her number in December..Tayler had just been a student teacher for less than 8 months at the time. They exchanged explicit text messages and photos and when he lost his phone, they moved their convo to facebook messenger.

Tayler was still a STUDENT herself as she was studying in college where she invited him back to her home.

On January 12th, a student had come forward with the information and the dominoes fell into place..

The male teen denied it first trying to protect Tayler but then confessed to it eventually as he did not want to get her in trouble.

Tayler said the "victim" was kind to her and that she loved him and was emotional regarding her feelings for him.

Principal Julio Duarte said that educators are sworm to protect and educate students and that certain boundaries cannot be crossed.

Prosecutors agreed despite the fact that he was of legal age, they deem this sexual assault because she was a teacher at a school he attended

Do you think Tayler should go to Prison? let's see what people think

Tayler - Facing 9 months to 10 years

Bullshit then and bullshit now. CT is an assbackwards state when it comes to ridiculous over-protective measures. He's legally an adult, she's not even working at his same school, so it's fucking stupid.

Pretty much this. They're close enough in age and both legally adults that the laws protecting against both are irrelevant. Even if the sexes were switched.

I mean, she probably should get fired over it, because teacher / student relationships are highly inappropriate, regardless of age, but I'm struggling to see how / why they should be able to take legal action against her.

Teacher/student relationships have other considerations than just age for their inappropriateness...

They should have just kept their pants on until she was done with her term teaching.

Yeah. Maybe lose her job or something. But definitely not prison. That's too far... Even the "victim" & "victim's" mom is saying to not prosecute her.

If nearly 40 year old me would bend her over faster than you can say "shallow grave" I can only imagine what 18 year old me would have done if given the opportunity.

If she was in a position of authority it does muddy the waters a bit, but at the same time if the dude was 18, he was legally an adult whether she was his teacher or not. If this same situation had happened at college instead of high school, would this even be an issue?

Maybe. MAYBE I can see her ethics as an educator being questioned, but I can't possibly imagine why consensual sex between two adults is even a court issue to begin with. I'd love some sauce on this to actually see what statute the prosecutor has used to indict her.

Whether you think it should be a crime or not, it's unprofessional at best and unethical at worst (though that depends on the individual situation). If they're your student, wait until they're not. If they're your patient, advise them to seek out another doctor before starting a relationship (unless you're a psychologist/therapist, in which case you absolutely should never under any circumstances pursue any past or present patient), and if you're an employer... dude, just don't go there unless they change their place of employment. :-/

You're not wrong, but if you frame it that way, the case would still be a civil case, not a criminal one. If she's facing jail time, this is somehow a criminal case and I can't see how that's possible under the circumstances.
