I don't think he's evil for criticising Biden, but I do get annoyed too when certain broadcasters put a disproportianate level of concern on Biden being President.

The amount of concern he puts forward regarding Biden is incredibly proportionate, especially with regards to Trump or DeSantis. It's just that criticism of Biden's competency at all in left-leaning news media or talk shows is just that taboo these days. It's dumbass football politics

Main game's plot is pretty good, though there's a number of plot holes or unresolved threads throughout the story, probably due to being in development by one guy for so long. Plus it's a time travel story which already makes it kind of wack by default. The core of the story gets pretty emotional and there's some good worldbuilding, though you never get that large a glimpse of the world as a whole

The translation was ass for like a year which sorta ruined story comprehension but it got retranslated and it's great now

Gaiden's story is pretty filler and meant to just wrap up a few holes in the main story from a different perspective, but it does resolve some stuff that the main story left wide open, which ended up being nice. But in the end it's mostly gameplay, with the story serving as a bridge between Astlibra and whatever the hell KEIZO does next

that one bit wants you to use dash in combination with jump, so you'd take a running start

go to the pause menu, click KARON, and on the first page enable dash. then either double tap right or hold right while pressing the right face button to dash, then jump with the bottom face button

Strikers is fun but as a Musou fan it doesn't tick any of my Musou boxes. I almost feel lied to for expecting something Musou-y. Probably a plus overall since my kind are dying out!

It's mostly standalone for the first half of the game (it takes place somewhere around 1/3rd of the way into the main game chronologically), but you really should finish the main game before beginning the second half. It's basically Astlibra's final dungeon expanded upon using all assets from the main game for a pseudo-roguelike experience with a more extreme power curve. Can be fully completed in 20~ hours

You can get the base game on Switch now for $20, I remember some guys here saying they were waiting for a Switch release

Steam's a really inconsistent case. They remove completely benign games (especially anime games- the most recent one I can think of is Dungeon Travelers 2) while leaving games intentionally meant to be offensive like Hatred up. Hatred is literally glorifying murder sprees (as in American-style mow civilians down with an assault rifle) literally to just be edgy. It was taken down at first after huge backlash but put back up with an apology!

The old Mario movie is cemented as a part of my childhood but it was so terrible

I forget how gens 2-3 handled the balance of special types, but I DO remember how Alakazam was just utter BS in gen 1 lol. Psychic typing, access to paralysis and recover, and incredibly high speed and special

In most other topics like this, I'll trend towards later entries as they are often just better in the vast number of ways. Brawl and Ultimate (never played 4) are definitely better but this is one instance I feel like I have to give the award to Melee; it's such a HUGE step up from 64 and has aged incredibly well (64 in comparison is hilarious in how broken it is)

Gen 5's my favorite. I grew up on gen 1 and 2, but I still felt like every game was an improvement over the last up until BW2. It started stalling out in quality afterwards.

Also helps that I was in college for that gen. Streetpass was so great
