It's a very good game. Lots of challenge to be had, but also a very good pace of meta-progression. I find that's what I really like to see in rogueli(k/t)es, since it gives a more concrete sense of progress than just my personal improvement (which is often harder to discern due to random elements making the difficulty inconsistent).

I haven't started. I fly home next Friday, and I'm planning to do as much as possible after that to cut down on the amount of gifts I need to pack. I may pick up a couple things in the next week. I know its popular to say the N64s graphics havent aged well. I strongly disagree with this. I think Ocarina and Majoras Mask look phenomenal even today.

They really have. Just goes to show what good art direction can do. The Banjo games have also aged pretty well.

Absolutely not. The time limit is what gives the game the atmosphere that makes it great, single-handedly defining the way the characters develop and interact with the player and each other. Take away that premise and you've got a completely different game.

A few people are talking about asking. But the problem isnt what they say. I think they are asking about if afterwards, they say that they wanted them to stop after already giving consent. So, giving consent, then taking away consent mid-sex without saying anything or doing anything that could easily or obviously show that... At least, I think thats what TC is saying...

Again, pay attention. If somebody doesn't want to keep going, it's not that hard to tell. If they are actually lying about the whole thing and saying they revoked consent when they actually didn't, having a cohesive story about being considerate and making sure they felt comfortable saying no will help your case.

That's also very rare, as much as people like to think feminism has left men hopelessly at the mercy of an army of women just waiting to frame them for rape. The vast majority of false rape claims aren't particularly credible and/or come from people with a history of compulsive lying, meaning they almost invariably don't actually result in a conviction. As long as you put some genuine effort into making sure you're respecting the need for consent, you're not likely to run into any problems.

While it's more nuanced than this, this is the gist of it. Make sure you're comfortable with and trust them and that they're comfortable with and trust you before doing anything, making sure that they feel they can say no if they want to. Also, just pay attention. It's really not hard to figure out whether or not somebody's into it, and if they don't seem to be, stop and ask if they want to keep going. If you don't feel like you can tell, then you don't know the person well enough to be sleeping with them and should slow down before you jump to a conclusion that will make them unhappy.

If I can only play one IP for the rest of my life, Id want to have the most possible games to choose from, and games that offer some variety. Im assuming that the spin-offs from Mario wouldnt count (Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, etc), but if they do, all the better.

But all of the other IPs are a lot more limited. Even something like Zelda, for as great as it is, has similar games. The formula is usually fairly standard - great, but standard. There are at least some differences amongst the selection of Mario games, and there are more of them than any other Nintendo IP.

Thats my rationale, for what its worth.

Pretty much this. Mario covers pretty much every genre, which no other Nintendo IP (or IP from any other company, for that matter) can claim. I'd miss the others because they're good, but I'd need the variety.

Except you never stated why. The person isn't going to be more or less hurt because someone they don't know at all is looking at it or not. If it's someone they know personally, it's a different story, but someone completely random, it makes no difference whatsoever.

Like I've stated previously, uploading it is a completely different story and it's wrong no matter what the circumstances are. Just looking at it though, there's no harm being done at all.

I only really mind when the ads waste my time or otherwise interfere with what I'm trying to do. I'm also not altogether keen on the whole practice of collecting data to help advertisers manipulate me better, which is kind of inseparable from advertising in general these days.

But then the appropriate response is "I don't want to hear about your sex life," not specifically shaming their kinks. "You should feel bad for talking to me about sex when I don't want you to" is a valid, reasonable sentiment. "You should feel bad for liking the sex things you like" is not (again, unless they hurt somebody).

In the case of celebrities, it's usually less having them leaked by their intended recipient and more having them stored somewhere that was compromised. The stuff leaked in the Fappening was mostly stuff that was inadvertently saved in Apple's cloud service because the users hadn't switched off their phone's automatic photo backup feature that was on by default. The hackers gained access to those accounts (primarily via secret questions, since that's a very insecure method of securing an account for somebody whose life history has been documented and made public due to their celebrity status), then shared the pics.

It certainly does happen that people will send nudes to somebody who then betrays their trust and shares them with other people, but for celebrity nude leaks, it's usually more a matter of being targeted by a stranger.

The logic of that statement doesn't depend on the value of what's being illegitimately acquired. It simply states that the mere ownership of something that others might desire creates an opportunity for that thing to be stolen (or otherwise misappropriated). Uhh, caffeine is absolutely physically addictive. It's formally considered a drug. As it happens, the sugar in soda is a more significant addictive factor than the caffeine, particularly where many sodas don't actually have caffeine, but let's not pretend caffeine addiction isn't a thing. It's just by far the most socially acceptable drug addiction and rarely results in significant health problems.

There was no reason pre-1960 either. There doesn't need to be a reason for something to be a social norm. Note also that we're not necessarily talking about exclusion so much as the absence of inclusive encouragement. This isn't a conscious effort to leave them out, it's just an implicit bias that pervades most of society.

Quite simply, if I asked you to imagine a chess player (outside of the biasing context that is this topic), odds are you'd picture a dude. That's pretty normal, and that's the implicit bias we're talking about here. The notion of an avid girl chess player is just odd, and that attitude becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, especially when people like you point at the existing gender divide and declare that that is conclusive proof that girls just suck at chess and always will.

Just because the cultural norm is no longer to say "women can't play chess" doesn't mean girls have the same access to chess resources that boys do. Uhh, what? 50 years is nowhere close to long enough to eliminate cultural norms like that. That's barely two generations; a great many people who grew up under the "suppression" you mentioned are still alive and directly influencing the upbringing of children born today, to say nothing of the indirect influence of how they parented and influenced the previous generation. You grossly overestimate how quickly culture evolves.
