People just need to cover their face. They can use just about anything

Driving is not a right, but a privilege, and as such you agree to abide by certain restrictions when you drive. However going outside is not a privilege yet its being restricted as such. Some people cannot even stay inside because they literally live outside meaning they will have to abide by this restriction at all times.

In any case the government should be providing the necessities required to abide by such a restriction if they are going to attempt to enforce it. Yet they do not and still expect it to be enforced.

I'll agree that "fearmongering" was a poor choice of words on his part, but the fact that you're saying all of that like it's a bad thing tells me you don't actually understand what you're up against. You call that spreading fear. Anyone who's been watching what's happened with this virus in the rest of the world calls it acknowledging reality, and no amount of "muh liberties!" is going to change that.

It is a bad thing to fine someone $1000 per day or put them in jail for not wearing a mask that they cant necessarily get ahold of because of the instant massive demand that was caused by making people panic when they were threatened with a $1000 fine or jail time for not wearing a mask! Its a circular fallacy in logic.

If the government mailed every citizen a bandana and said wear this or we will fine you at least they will have provided everyone with the mask so they all have an equal opportunity to be in possession of it, but as it is there are going to be some who are literally unable to comply through no fault of their own and there is the possibility that they will be punished for it and that is wrong!

Yes violating any provisions of the order is subject to fines and/or jail time, but the most ridiculous part of the order is the penalties for not wearing a covering they they ADMIT is solely for aesthetics to remind people to stay away and doesnt actually improve your chances not to contract the virus.

About time! These are the type of steps we need to be taking if we are going to kill this virus. These spreaders out there need to be locked up for refusing to protect themselves and others from this deadly disease.

The measure being mandated is being used by the government not to actually stop the virus but to be used as a visual reminder of social distancing. The cloth protection being required is not able to stop the virus, as only the masks being explicitly excluded and reserved for medical personnel is designed and capable to do just that.

It was good. It was especially excellent at foreshadowing. Without getting into spoilers there was so much introduced in the first 20 minutes or so of the movie that just payed off way later in the film. I did the math for people in Wa and making min wage, you are normally eligable for $277 a week unemplolyment.

Right now, that means you would get $877 per week *4 weeks is $3508 a month (tax free I believe).

Unemployment is taxed Federally as income but some States dont tax it, so in those States youd see less of it taken out by whatever amount the State normally taxes income.

I think Congress royally fucked over grocery store employees and other "essential" employees forced to work at their existing low wages while handing out an insane +$600/wk to unemployed people.
It's nice that Safeway is increasing the pay a bit, but it's still way less than the employees would make if Safeway just laid them off.
And all such employees are trapped in their situation because leaving your job b/c "It's bull shit that people make more sitting home than I do working" isn't a valid reason to collect unemployment. As the people in Congress who defended the absurd increase were quick to point out.

Remember that the House had a different plan ready to go giving out less money all the way around until Nancy Pelosi opened up her big trap and sunk it. Its really almost all her fault.

Getting unemployment is fine. Suddenly getting $25/hr from unemployment when you were getting $15/hr before and others in essential jobs are still working and making that $15/hr...is not fine.

There isnt enough evidence to say it is or is not man made, but the suspicious cause being bats that dont live in the area and are not sold in the area and a report made by Chinese scholars at a Chinese university run by the Chinese government suggesting it came from a Wuhan government facility where they study that particular bat suggest that its either man made or at least an accident exposure that caused the outbreak.
