Amnesia is probably the most stacked division so far. Everything aside from the -s would get a +2 or +3 in pretty much anything else.

Yep. It has 3 top 50 Pokemon in it for me and then also a bunch of super popular pokemon. Kind of upsetting.

And then Pika Papow just made me +3 Bagon who probably isn't even in my top 300. Really cool.

I voted for Zygarde on the merits of its "default" form (50% forme), which I like. But if I were aggregating all formes, I'd give it -2 (because I hate the other ones). Other people might factor the formes into their votes so Zygarde's score might be a bit inconsistent.

I only gave it a +1 because the Dog is cool and the rest of the division is trash! :o

Oh i can tell you Dynamic is no indication at all about how tough a fight will be on Hard. Rufus will prob be stressful cus of his phases with and without Dark Nation and the fact you have to do Elena/Rude first without a break in between. Idk where the retry would place you.

I was more or less referring to Martin's post since he posted which fights he's worried about when he gets to them in Hard which made me wonder which fights were ones that people struggled with in Dynamic, if any. I figured Hard Mode certain bosses are much more challenging yeah.

Welp! That made my decision easy for me. Looks like I'll be saving my money on this one and just get Eiyuden Chronicles next month.

Was Rufus generally considered a tough fight in Dynamic mode for people? I actually thought he was easier than his Remake fight.

Honestly, what gave me the most trouble for main story fights was the 2nd Roche fight. He kills you in like 3 attacks and does those attacks almost immediately, you barely have any time to respond. And whenever you try to counter his attacks, he'll just not attack or use a non counterable one.

Maybe I just got unlucky a few times in a row from what his AI did but man that felt like bullshit lol.

None of the other main story fights gave me any issue really. The Cait fight was fine for me because I main Cait so I didn't really have troubles, but I could see people who never really used him struggling for sure.

This made me remember that I hate most fairies.

I ran basically one team through the whole game on tactical.

Govil (Lead) / Alain / Scarlett / ShamanGirl / Gilbert

Alain protects Govil. Scarlett heals sometimes or does magic damage if everyone has MEGA ARMOR. Shaman Girl debuffs enemy team, Gilbert buffs us. Gilbert and Shaman Girl both have the hoods that grant AP to a user for them to attack again for 4PP. Both of them are set to buff Govil. Govil's whole thing is to buff himself with his own abilities and will give himself AP and 50% Phys Atk Buff if he gets kills with it and then one shot whole lines with Wild Fang. It's difficult to align everything properly in a way where he'll buff himself and then go crazy with AOE but I got it working well enough. Only suffers against teams with HUGE armor and protecting, but then Scarlett + debuffs usually take care of things then.

I did listen to all the story and character dialogs! But every map did go rather quickly due to my wolf zoomies strat. I was playing on tactician, or whatever the one just below expert was.

Game beated.

Clocked in at about 29 hours.

Pretty dece game. Wasn't really wow'd by anything, either gameplay wise or story wise. Would probably sit at like a 7/10 for me.

I wasn't engaged enough with the gameplay or characters to do anything other than use my one Werewolf lead unit, turn day into night, and pop a light feather and then beat every map in about 5-10 seconds gameplay time.

Got 29 hours in at least so decently worth my money I'd say.

I usually love when games have a parry system, but I feel this one was implemented somewhat poorly. It doesn't feel fluid enough since you can't cancel attack animations.

You can cancel attack animations with dodge though so what I'll usually do if I'm trying to get a parry off is if I see an attack about to happen, I'll cancel my own attack with a dodge and block immediately. It's not perfect obviously, but I did find it better in that sense.

That's dangerous, Para. Their number 1 of all time could be Pansear but they thought Pansage was in the round instead and HATE Pansage.

A lot of my favs are juuuuust popular enough to get past round 1. It's gonna be Round 2 where I get royally FK'd in the A

Also, came across by far my least favorite mission last night.

In Albion, there's a side quest where there's two barricaded doors that block the way to each post and you gotta capture both posts. I don't believe any items or valor skills take down these doors but you CAN use the battering rams they provide. Problem is is that each battering ram is on the other side of each door so you have to smash your face against the door 8 times to get past. You can probably just fly around with flying units, but my flying unit was stuck defending home base. I probably could have made it work if I swapped my teams and units around but I'm stubborn so I just bashed my face against the door 8 times to eventually break through. Your squad goes into WAIT each time too you smash the door.

Getting close to end of game now I believe. Halfway through Albion and got Rank S.

One thing I wish is that weapons had more unique abilities. There's a few but they either suck or are very niche.

Specifically for swords, I was hoping I'd be able to find some cool move, but nah. Hopefully I'll find something soon but I'm not holding my breath.

Part of this too is that changing the formation also changes the RNG of the fight. In the first scenario, perhaps you just got bad RNG for the fight, but on the change in formation, perhaps you get a few dodges and extra crits that completely turn the fight in the other direction.

I'm also sad at the lack of just cool mages or magic users. You get that witch early on and then like... the next 20 characters are stronk men and ladies.

Forgive me if I'm not interested in the 10th lady wielding a lance or axe or hammer.

That's a problem with a ton of RPGs though. You get a really cool character near the end of the game that you can use for all of like 5% of it. Wow, thanks guys. Can't wait to use my fav character for all of 10 minutes LOL

That's fair. I was just hoping that area of the game was more of an early game area and not 30 hours into the game area :x

I love the idea of the parade minigame and the like.

The problem is that the button presses are almost never in time with the music so it's not actually a rhythm section, which completely messes with my head because I've played thousands of hours of rhythm games.
