it is definitely not better than iron man 2

both are bad but thor 2 is definitely a little more bad

at least mickey rourke with a dumb accent and sam rockwell mugging for the camera is more entertaining than malekith

it's a pretty good movie but it was wedged in a packed year and was unfortunately an Endgame lead-in so expectations were very high

i don't know anyone that hates it. sonny burch is great. ghost is cool. michael pena is funny (although I'm sure some people will fight me on that). I also really like paul rudd's big dad energy.

my preferred option is that he really is a no name guy on purpose so they can kill him off near the end and let Liu Kang win the tournament

Cole was literally Scorpion in the first draft and then literally Scorpion's son in the second draft so anything is on the table at this point

it looks good! i had low expectations because the first two drafts of the script leaked online and were awful. this was shot using an unleaked third draft that was written by a guy with no writing credits who is just a big MK fan. due to WGA union laws a lot of the original script CANNOT be touched (only a certain % can be altered or there would be hefty fines) so you still have Cole being in it and Kano being a good guy but they fixed a lot of the big issues with the script like Cole literally being Scorpion in hiding... as a boxer in Philadelphia???
