there's a dude on reddit that has ripped all the models and is comparing them to the sun/moon models, apparently most are identical down to the exact number of tris

strangely some are identical but gamefreak removed tris, so they did go over the imported models and tried to remove redundant/unnecessary tris to cut back on potential lag, but on paper it looks really bad that the console pokemon game has "less" detailed models with less tris than the handheld game it got its models from

the real problem tho is that they very clearly ripped these models from sun/moon but claimed in this polgyon article ( https://www.polygon.com/pokemon/2019/7/13/20693069/pokemon-sword-shield-pokedex-limited-game-freak-statement-nintendo-switch ) that they were making them from scratch which was a contributor to dexit

which then leads us to wonder why the fuck the game looks so bad if they were importing the pokemon? and why don't we have all the pokemon if they weren't making new models? what the fuck happened

I run two hiring offices for a staffing agency that hire exclusively for two Amazon sites. My employees are fantastic and I am managed remotely by a great boss and awesome support team that has my back.

But Amazon is the fucking worst. Amazon management is nasty and condescending, they're very passive aggressive and treat me like I'm their servant and lucky to be breathing the same air as them. The idea is that we're supposed to be a team but they obviously don't see it that way. It makes a potentially great job almost unbearable.

The only source for there being a new mode was the fake leak that mentioned fucking Frogger and got all the mii fighter costumes wrong

the terminator franchises carries like no weight anymore, they kept rebooting it with worse and worse movies so even if Dark Fate were good your average audience member probably has 0 investment anymore

I find it very hard to care about Pokemon with what they've revealed so far. Hard to believe how little the series has evolved after so many years and a $95 billion revenue.

so i really like this game, but not as much as I thought I would. it feels like New Vegas with a lot of the QoL improvements of 4 without any of the dumb bullshit that came with it, but set on a No Man's Sky world

so of course that's good and all but I guess my biggest problem is that nothing has really knocked my socks off yet. my fave thing from Fallout/Elder Scrolls is companions. I love companions, it's why i play the game.

The companions in Outer Worlds have not impressed me yet. They kinda get thrown at you too, you just walk into a place and they're like "hey do you want two companions" and the quests to "recruit" them are like next-level easy. not a fan of that.

maybe i wouldnt mind that as much if the companions seemed interesting but so far they dont stand out. i'm trying to do their quests and see whats up with them but i'm so lukewarm going in that I don't know how much my opinion will change.

core gameplay loop is really good tho

this stupid fucking thing has been an embarrassment to our state for a decade, maybe more. it's the ugliest fucking thing ever and it's placed so tourists can see it going up and down the turnpike from EWR to Manhattan. whenever i have visitors and we drive by they point and go "what the fuck is that" and i have to explain it's our giant tourist trap/money pit/monument to american excess that is never going to open

i dunno if the article mentions this but its "opening" only has like 5 stores and just a bunch of models and pictures of what it SHOULD be. there's speculation that they had to "open" by end of this year as to not pay a bunch of penalties so they rushed this shit together. further embarrassment.
