I don't blame them for pulling back and reversing course and making this trailer (movie?) "serious"

After people had fucking meltdowns that the trailer for Ghostbusters 2016 referred to Zeddemore as a "scientist" and treated the franchise like it was the bible I can imagine Sony doesn't want to ruffle any more feathers

However you guys do have a point that there needs to be more humor in a Ghostbusters movie, I mean the original was a sendup to old comedy/horror movies from the 40s and 50s, and that's kinda the entire point. Also, why cast Paul Rudd if you're not making a comedy?

but we'll see if that was just how the trailer was cut or if the whole movie is like this

Thinking about it, it's kind of crazy how silent the franchise has been since Infinite's last DLC came out. That game was overall received pretty well and had a lot of good buzz at the time, you'd think 2K would have tried to pump them out more regularly regardless of quality. Hopefully the wait means we're going to get a great game.

that's the only one I was considering to maybe be a "timeless classic" but I'm waiting for the dust to settle

if Outer Worlds get a devoted enough fanbase like Fallout NV then maybe that, but right now I don't see a lot of people talking about it outside of the usual circle

Control got a lot of positive buzz, I'm betting if there's ever a Control 2 it will be a classic if they keep quality consistent

Right now most games in contention for GotY are just "really good games" to me

nothing this year has stuck out to me as "instant timeless classic that will be remembered for at least the last decade," i like seeing 2 or 3 of those on a yearly release calendar before declaring it a "good year."
