Depends on who you talk to...but for purposes of rape, no.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone but Full Throttle refer to anyone over 21 y/o as a kid. I'm curious at what age people don't consider someone to be a kid anymore.

For NES games you probably own, possibly multiple times

Sure, but I don't have to go into my Animal Crossing town now to do it!

That said, it's not a good value. I am happy about cloud saves, though. I wonder how it will work. GameCube, Wii, 3DS, and probably Wii U (I didn't have one, so I don't know) all let you back up your saves, but they also had an option for developers to turn the feature off. This was mainly to prevent cheating in games like Animal Crossing or Pokemon. But how does this work with cloud saves? It's simple on a PS4 or something that is typically online when it's on, but with the Switch, I can see ways of cheating in such games because you're not always online with it. I wonder if some games will not support that feature.

Anyway, I'm less interested in trading friend codes, and more interested in getting a feel for when people are free. Evenings, weekends, time ranges, that kind of thing. That way we can work out all our schedules and go from there.

Oh come on! At least "Zach" is part of my username here!

Anyway, right now I'm off work because I'm recovering from surgery. Generally though, I'm available after around 6 pm Monday-Fridays and after noon on weekends, Pacific Time, unless I have something else scheduled of course.

TopicNeed help buying a wireless ethernet adapter for a printer.
Zachnorn
04/23/18 4:53:27 PM

But seriously, though, see if that model has a wireless adapter available for it. Sometimes printers have accessories you can buy for them. Keep in mind, if your wireless uses WPA/WPA2 Enterprise, it may not work. I can almost guarantee it won't work, I've yet to see a printer that supports WPA/WPA2 Enterprise.

That said, another option is to get a powerline Ethernet adapter. I have never used one, but it is supposed to use the building's electrical wiring as a network and allow data to be sent. Generally, you need it to be connected directly into a wall. Also, I believe it needs to be on the same main breaker to communicate (or something - I'm not an electrician and I know there's something that connects the circuits to the main power line that goes to a building, needs to all be on the same one). I have no idea how well this will work in a corporate environment.

Other option: There are devices that allow you to wirelessly connect ethernet plugs, I'm sure. You might be able to set up a router to act in bridge mode (but please set it up to not actually route or issue IP addresses or anything before connecting it to the network unless you want to screw up the network) . An old computer with a WiFi and Ethernet card could also be used for that.

In fact, every game I learned about from Smash:
Fire Emblem
Ice Climbers
Pikmin
F-Zero
ROB
Kid Icarus
Star Fox
Earthbound
Game & Watch
...Metroid

This, aside from Pikmin.

Which is kinda awkward for me because, as it turns out, the first game I ever played was very likely Star Fox on SNES. Not that I remember it, obviously.

I'm not sure if I also saw the promotional Star Fox video as a kid too or not. My cousin might have showed it to me, but I was too busy being into PlayStation at the time.

In other words, it's just weird that I only really learned about those characters from Smash >_>

(And for those that used to watch me stream, I still have not unlocked Wolf in Brawl, 10 years later)

5% bachelor's, 40% associate's

I do tech support for a school district but for a tiny fraction of the time I make recommendations on buying and investing in technology so I kinda sorta use my business degree (bachelor's) that has emphasis on technology. My associate's degree is in computer information technology but it's a mix of programming and tech support skills. Still, mostly programming.

In truth, I could have just not gone to get my bachelor's and I'd have saved tens of thousands of dollars.

In truth, I hate how my life has turned out with all the work I did in school.

Because of all the negative portrayals in TV shows, News or online, alot of people are afraid they'll be associated with furries for just liking something with anthro animals so they jump on the hate bandwagon because they're insecure teens/young adults. But there are a good amount of furries who are super awful people and deserve the hate, just not all.

Basically this.

I used to be one of those people. I don't care for furries still, but I don't care about what people think anymore. I enjoyed some movies that people called "furry" such as Zootopia and Sing.

Enjoying content with animal characters does not make someone a furry. The fact that some people don't realize that makes people attack "furry" content.

1. Never go in to business with multiple family members.

Also, this.

A coworker was telling me that her dad had a convenience store. After he died, it was willed to all his siblings, and they did nothing but fight over it. It's still in their name, but now closed and rotting away, costing them property taxes for no revenue at all. The only reason is because the siblings couldn't get along for it.

Your grandma's heart is in the right place, and it's awesome that she could see you and your siblings starting a business. That's a great dream for her to see all of you working together on something, but as much as I hate to say it, it's not realistic.

If you guys can't come to an agreement on the business, and you don't know what type of business you want to do, you'll fail. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm trying to be realistic.

Mostly because I went to business school to study business because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and now I don't even work in a business or do business things at work. The reason being that I went into things with the logic of, "I have the opportunity to become educated, I must do something, and I can't do my first choice major (computer science, financial aid said no). Hey, I want to make money, I should get into business, I'll go study that." But there wasn't real passion or interest into what type of business (aside from technology, which is a hard industry for a business major), so I ultimately didn't do well in the business world. If you're wondering what I do now, I'm a computer technician for a school district.

What does that have to do with starting a business? If you're doing business for the sake of doing business, you're going to fail similarly. You and your siblings have to have an interest in whatever you're doing, and you have to want to do it. It sounds to me like you don't really want to have a business, but you're getting pressured into it. That can be a recipe for disaster.

Unless you and your siblings become sure of what you want for a business and are passionate enough to put enough effort into it, don't do it. Because you will waste $800k in doing so very easily. I would recommend some investments instead. It doesn't have to be stocks and bonds. You could do real estate as well. What I said can apply to real estate too, but at least it's a lot safer than starting a business.

This isn't the answer you want, but I'm trying to be realistic.

Not much. Will only take it out every now and then so my niece and nephews can use it for a couple of hours.

Otherwise I will be playing in TV mode most of the time.

I will look into a Power Bank.

Honestly, don't get one for your Switch, get one for your phone. If it's going to barely be used in portable mode except for "a couple of hours" at a time, you're fine since it will run for more than that on the battery. Battery banks are useful for phones though and if they're of a certain amperage, they can be just fine for the Switch. Again, look for something with a USB-C port with Power Delivery if possible for the fastest Switch charging speed, or at least 2 amps if it doesn't have a USB-C port. Obviously, you'll need the appropriate cable as well.

Definitely get a case and screen protector. You can find them for pretty reasonable prices on Amazon.

Power banks can be useful. If possible, get one with a USB-C port that does USB Power Delivery. They're also useful for charging your phone.

As far as SD cards go, it depends on whether you'll be mostly buying games digitally or physically. I think the typical size people get is 64 or 128 GB, but I have a 200 GB only because Amazon had it on sale.
