Totally agree. A certain ethnicity (can't say because it would probably get modded) seems to always be screaming when they talk. And people who can't chew with their damn mouths closed also annoy me. If they traveled back to tell Haley not to go drinking, then the event where they even needed a time machine wouldn't have happened so that would erase their existence. But they go back to find the potential father's identity because that would only affect the future past when they used the time machine therefore it wouldn't conflict with continuity. This is the only way I can think of where it isn't a plothole. Where time travel actually doesn't have an effect; where it's actually only allowing people to go back and do things that were supposed to happen. I think there was a Family Guy episode like that. But if you're looking at it from a purely practical standpoint with no twists and turns with weird time travel rules and shit, then yes, that was just ridiculous. --- DNA - National Dyslexic Association |
