I was sitting waiting for the bus smoking a cigarette. Some douchebag sits next to me and immediately starts bitching about the smell and saying I shouldn't smoke at bus stops and I'm an inconsiderate asshole etc

I told him I was there first and if he doesn't like it he can go stand where he can't smell it. He doesn't move and continues to whine. So as soon as I finish the cigarette I immediately take out and light another one despite the fact I hate chain smoking. I then do it one more time when I finished the second cigarette.

A bus stop is obviously a place where people need to congregate, so the dude has a point. The least you could do is step away maybe ~20 feet but still be close enough to see the bus coming and flag down the driver so he doesn't miss you

On the flip side, yeah you were there first, so you are technically in the right, but still. Not a good place to smoke.

A Man should be Educated, Strong and Kind. You seem to be none of those. Man up.

I dont think any bars in my town allow indoor smoking anymore. Unless its a lounge specifically designated for either hookah or marijuana. You would still get thrown out for smoking cigarettes there, probably. Idk.

But you know people are going to come, and you know people probably aren't going to want to scatter around the bus stop like that. Just stand up a few feet from it, where nobody is expected to wait, and smoke there?

It's a bus stop, you actually don't know for a fact that someone else is going to show up during the time you're smoking. It's extremely common to be on a bus and have it pass by stops where there's either none or just one person. But since TC was there first with his cigarette I actually don't expect him to get up and move since he actually doesn't have an obligation to. If the other person dislikes smoke so much then he shouldn't have gotten so close to a cigarette and whined about it.
