the Wii has a ton of great third party shit people don't bother digging up because none of them were really major releases and it got buried under all the shovelware, it doesn't help the Wii is like the only console I've seen with AAA shovelware so that immediately scares people off

the GameCube's library is more accessible to the average "gamer" and for the most part it has better offerings from Nintendo themselves than the Wii had

And I noticed something while watching the video. It's true he was harassing her, but the bigger issue is that he was also trespassing on a place that she had rented.
He was told multiple times to leave, but he continually refused.

I agree with Its always sunny being better then all. Also with arrested development seasons 1-3. HIMYM had a few good seasons, but man I've never seen a show nose dive so hard and so fast.

Brooklyn 99 is equal to big bang theory for me. Unwatchable.

I think Community nose dived harder than HIMYM.

I enjoyed Community, but never really got into The Office. I think I watched a few seasons of it before dropping it...

2. No. That's basically the problem. The gameplay is really simple. Theres not much to do with it and it gets boring once the novelty of warping wears off.

Combat isn't that great.
It would've been much better if they made the combat more like Kingdom Hearts or more like a traditional FF game. Instead we got this weird ARPG hybrid where you just hold down certain buttons...

The game was unfinished when I played through it too. I'm not sure how much the updates or dlc helped make the game better.
With that said, I enjoyed my time with it.
I liked the idea of a small group of people on a road trip, and the locations/creatures were interesting imo.
(Plus awful flying car at the end lol.)

I'm a big fan of games that are challenging, but fair. I don't mind dying over and over as long as I feel like the deaths are due to my own mistakes or shortcomings. As opposed to stuff that's unfair or cheap or random. Games like DMC3, Scott Pilgrim, Shinobi, Mega Man Classic, etc

In DDD's case? Yes.
The worlds are just giant barren wasteland with chests scattered in random locations.

Flow motion sucks for combat too. It makes you extremely vulnerable when you use it.

People forget that KH has a story that has focused on the same plot for 15 years. Not many games have that, so of course people will say it's convoluted or confusing just for that reason alone.

Although I did enjoy seeing Old Man Xehanort. He's probably one of my favorite video game villains because of how competent he is. (When you ignore his past and future forms... ugh...)

i dont even finish the 1st game so i understand nothing about the KH's story.
and it seems its not just convoluted, but also get more stupid with each new games.

The first game is actually extremely simple.
Then Chain of Memories happened and almost every convoluted thing since can be traced back to this game.
KH2 wasn't too bad though. It's still pretty simple to follow at this point.
The events in Days matter in present day, but at the time they didn't really matter. It basically just adds one new character that everyone conviently forgets about in the end. (And it directly connects to CoM so...)
BBS is where the series really took a dive. Most things in the series are retconned at this point.
Then you have DDD which adds time travel and dreams. If the series didn't jump the shark before, it certainly did now.

That's how it is in the series. But to be fair, Heartless were the only enemies in the first game.

I'm not sure what they actually intended, but to me this makes them make a little more sense:

Heartless: Just like the real definition. Beings displaying a complete lack of feeling or consideration.

Nobodies: Again, similar to the real definition in some ways. "No person; no one." Nobodies may look like real people, but they aren't normal people. They don't have souls so to speak. Or to put it another way, an absence of a person. (Until later in the series where they completely throw all that out the window.)

Sonic the Hedgehog is probably up there when you consider how everything is connected.

The Persona series isn't the worst, but considering how even random spinoffs are canon and all the games take place in the same universe...

The Zelda timeline is pretty bad too.

I have yet to play it, but the Mother series seems like it would be a little convoluted too...

As I've said before, that can be fun when there's some degree of subtlety to it, but when it's so overt as to be watered-down porn, it makes more sense for an audience that wants that to just go for actual porn.

I agree with some of the stuff you said, but this still applies to other things such as gore.

You don't need intense violence and gore for gameplay purposes. They could easily tone the gore down in most games and it wouldn't affect the gameplay. Just look at how brutal some of the executions are in the games I mentioned. They could easily replace those brutal animations with less gruesome ones.

The overt amount of gore and violence in games serves no purpose when people can easily find that stuff in other forms of media.
There is a reason people use the words "gore" and "porn" together. (Gore porn)

I mean let's change the argument of sexual content to violence.
Why should you care about violence/gore in games such as Doom, Mortal Kombat, Gears of War, The Last of Us, GTA, etc. if you can find that type of content in other forms of media?
People would be pissed if any of those franchises actively tried to tone down the violence for future installments...

Yes, but that was after DLC iirc.
This one looks like it will have 70+ characters at launch, with more DLC characters in the future.
So I think we can probably expect close to or over 80 characters at some point in the future. <_<

I didn't know people still watched Super Casual Bros. The last actually good competitive one they had was like a long time ago.

Even games heavily inspired by Smash Bros, such as Brawlhalla are played competitively.

On top of that, a lot of recent fighting games have made huge mistakes or have become more casual to appeal to a wider audience.
Just look at Marvel Vs Capcom, Tekken 7, DBZ Fighterz, etc.

Can we all at least agree that Smash Ultimate isn't making returning characters DLC like most fighting games?
Just look at a recent fighting game like BlazBlue Cross Tag for example... <_<

SSB 64 to Melee was 2 years.
Melee to Brawl was 7 years.
Brawl to Smash 4 was 6 years. (Two different versions of Smash 4 exist too...)

Fallout and Dragon Quest for me.

I'll be picking up Fallout 76, RDR2, Smash Bros, and possibly Spider-Man.

I'm more excited for next year at this point... Although I hope Nintendo surprises us tomorrow.

Hm, Nintendo is tomorrow, but so far it looks like there are very few games releasing in the latter half of this year that I want to get on launch day.
