My brain:: OK XIII. Don't spin any Pokestops for the next hour in case you get a stupid 5K egg you don't need. Just don't spin any stops. Close the app, or something. But first since you still have that Stardust activated catch all the nearby Pokemon. BUT THEN CLOSE THE APP.

Me: OK cool. *catches all the Pokemon*
*2 minutes later*
*Habitually spins a Pokestop and gets a 5K egg*

how was everyone's community day?

it was super cold here (7 degrees, windchill -11) so I mostly hung out in my apartment and caught all the Piplups that showed up. I got one shiny, and my alt got a shiny Bulbasaur.

I was working. Lame. And my job is in a PoGo dead zone too. No stops or spawns anywhere around.

Luckily I had enough candy to get a Hydro Cannon Empoleon anyway, but I didn't catch a single Piplup.

I know it might seem unlikely but I'd love to be in a position where I literally have all the available Pokemon to me where I currently am (with the exception of when I missed out on the Sinnoh legendaries). I've never done it before and I'm getting kind of close here. The killers will be the two dragons...pouring all my rare candies into Deino and Fraxure at the moment but it's like levelling Everest with one stick of dynamite. I need to do more 5 star raids to get the candy count I need.

No Tirtouga yet is kind of a bummer too.

Also on Saturday I encountered a wild Snorlax in Qatar for the first time ever. I think it's only my third overall, and the other two were in England.

The big ones I need to collect now are Venipedes, Tympoles, Dwebbles.

The rest of them are rare enough that I expect never to collect enough to evolve them and will instead need to make them a buddy/use rare candies.

I got Huntail, whoopee! And I just caught a Joltik, finally. Buddy Joltik is adorable in the way it jumps around.

Here's what I'm currently missing, not including some missing regionals (such as Pachirisu, Relicanth and, sadly, Sigilyph), some legendaries I never did when they were available (such as DIalga/Palkia/Giratina), and ones that are weirdly still unreleased (Kecleon).

It was so wacky and fun and inventive. It set the tone for Mania not just being a pure rehash of the 90s games.

First time the Pokemon AI has ever outsmarted me. I led with Grimmsnarl, he used Yawn, I switched to Barraskewda and he hit me with Solar Beam on the switch. I like to believe the game programmed him to anticipate a switch to a water Pokemon.

- Holy god, that was the most amazing throw in history. Phoenix saying TAKE THAT and then a spinning sprite of the cell phone they didnt even remove from the gray box around evidence, and no movement on Edgeworth at all This is some kind of strange form of art.

For all the humour PW attempts and is often successful at, this is by far the funniest thing the games have ever done

And this was absolutely correct to do, because while I liked TFA a lot I would have had a lot of complaints if the entire trilogy had simply been a retread of that same dynamic. That's why after TFA I was very firmly on the "Ren should kill Snoke" train, and I was so happy they went in that direction to mess with it a bit. But as I said, I hoped that would then lead to irredeemable Kylo.
