Unemployment before the pandemic was like 3.5 percent. At it's peak in April 2020 it was 14.7 percent. December 2021 it was 3.9 percent.

We are just about back to pre-pandemic unemployment.

Yeah we allegedly have a storm coming up this weekend. I thought it was kind of wild that the local news site literally had something like:

"We don't know how much you'll get. It's a 30 percent chance of 6" to 10"
21 percent chance of 3" to 6"
and 21 percent chance of 10-15"

I don't think I've ever seen actual percentage chances for a snow storm before like that.

But there's a lot of companies that when you put in your two weeks they let you go right there and then. Some people don't give a two weeks because of that.

I'll actually agree with you on some of that. The inventory and available loot windows are bad and should totally be redone. The right click contextual menus are decent but could do with some finessing to make them a little better.

Inventory management is just done kind of weird. I'd love to see an update in the future for it. However, I can look past the poor way it's done because the rest of the game is solid.

Combat is also kind of weird but I don't know how much I would change it. One thing I didn't know until this most recent time back is that when you push a zombie down you can stand over them at their torso or so and they can't get back up and they won't attack you. So you kind of try to get overtop the one you knocked down and not give an inch to other zombies coming at you still or you have to move and the downed one can get back up. It's weird, but it's simple and it kind of makes sense. Once you get the hang of it it's actually relatively easy. If you're just walking normally you'll outpace the zeds and that's the important thing to remember. It's super easy to get away from zombies as long as they aren't circling you. But you're right, it is simple because it's mostly just kiting zombies around in a circle trying to pick them off.

It's different when you bring guns into it but that's a whole other can of worms you have to deal with like pulling zombies who heard the gunshots and now you have a swarm.

Yep! Haven't been there yet. It's huge and has the largest number of zombies because it's the biggest city.

No clue. When I quit 3 or so years ago I marked it off as a dying game. They said they were still working on it but the progress was really small chunks.

Now they have relased some of the stuff they said they have been working on for a while so I feel it's actively worked on now and maybe this latest release and the explosion in player count will help them speed things up.

Game is pretty sick. My friends and I got it, and now we have a pretty consistent like 10-12 man squad that rolls up. The chaos is so fun and there's like an "old school Runscape" esque feel about it.

Yeah I love it. I won't have that many people playing but I got a buddy to buy it and my brother is intrigued by it and may pick it up. I think I'm going to rent a small 4 to 6 person sever for us to fool around on.

Also in my OP I said it was 15 bucks, it was before the sale. It appears they may have raised the price to 20 after the Steam sales. During the sale it was 10. Somehow when I got it years ago I got it for 8 and some change.

Wooden palisades go in the corners where there's circles. I put an X where I'm currently based but it's actually one house to the right. Also I plan on building my farm and rain collectors in the central park.

I found Zomboid maybe 5 years ago. I played a LOT including some multiplayer (when it was done by mods.) I just came back for the first time in 3 years and oh man is this game even better than it was. Having cars and a map is great and it kind of totally changes how the game is played.

Took me a while to get back into the swing of things with combat. I kept dying to groups of 2 or 3 zombies. But after some practice I'm back to where I'm not dying from stupid combat mistakes all the time. I've taken over the gated community in Riverside and am building the log walls at the gaps in the metal fence. Should have it sealed up within a few days and then I can go house to house clearing out the zombies and pick up the few roaming packs I've seen inside the gates.

This game is worth every penny of 15 bucks.

Some of these I'm not sure why they were rejected unless it has something to do with not being able to have letters of government agencies on the plate like CIA or FBI. Even though that's not what the plate said it has those types of letters in a row.

I've only ever seen the first two movies. The one story in the first movie FUCKED me up to this day. I was probably too young to watch it.

4 is always my favorite. 9 is probably the "best" in my opinion.

However, FF14 should be up for consideration for people. It is basically a long FF game just where you have to group up to do dungeons sometimes. Good story, good characters, great world, great music etc. I see one person mentioned it already so that's great.

I think there's just some game types that some people enjoy that others don't.

One of my favorite games is The Binding of Isaac and I have tried to get a few friends into it. Some like it and some come back with "Wait, that 30 minute run was for nothing?" and they feel they about wasted time and no progression. I get their point.

Not sure which "Free Healthcare" is being talked about but a LOT of insurance companies charge more for nicotine users.

Off the top of my head I don't remember doing it but it's possible I rarely had to do it.

Wasn't the issue with the NES cartridges that the pieces that were supposed to connect together to read the cartridge got dusty and didn't make that connection properly? I feel like with the SNES/N64 they had fixed that issue for the most part.

I was at work and keeping an eye on the news off and on that day. I remember sitting in a kind of casual meeting that lingers on because it's towards the end of the day and no one feels like going back and doing 30 minutes of work before they leave.

I remember seeing they had gotten inside the building and that there were reports of shots fired. I knew right then that this was one of "those moments" that you'll remember for life. I remember talking about it at the end of the meeting and people being "meh" about it and me trying to explain that this is actually a big deal and they just don't see the whole picture yet.

I fall into "millennial" and I 100 percent blew into NES cartridges. It was my first console.

Both are actually good so if you like that type of game I would get both at some point.

But yeah, Hades first.

Maybe. I don't know. 25 years ago AOL was just getting big and people were getting dialup in their homes. Technology has progressed a LOT since then and progression will probably only get faster.

I agree. But I've been thinking lately that with the rise of streaming of games and with that technology only getting better and faster we might transition to only streaming.

A disclaimer - This isn't actual advice and you should always get your final answer from your insurance company. (Meaning, your best bet is to call them)

Health Insurance networks are weird. With Blue Cross / Blue Shield plans each company has their own small network. Empire BC has a network in NY. Highmark (the big PA BC/BS plan and the company I used to work for) has a network in PA. The BC/BS plans all work together and share networks for their PPO plans. Meaning if you have BC/BS insurance in NY if the BC/BS plan in PA is in network with CHOP then they are in network for you as well.

One thing you want to check is your card. Does it have a small briefcase logo with the letters PPO in it? If yes, then it's a PPO plan and what I said above is more than likely true for you. HOWEVER, if you don't have a PPO plan this changes things.

This led me to check the CHOP website. Below is a screen cap from their website. I think you can safely ignore the note about CHOP Home Care since that isn't what you're doing. However, the part I highlighted does kind of worry me. It seems like they might NOT be in network.

This second picture is also from their website and specifically talks about the whole PPO network sharing thing I mentioned above. "Blue Card" is the system in which BC/BS insurers share networks. This seems to indicate you might have coverage.

My final answer is that I can't tell you 100 percent if you have coverage or not. Your best bet is to have the hospital name, address, and the name of the OB/GYN who will probably be doing the delivery and ask them. What they will do is probably put you on hold and call Highmark (PA BC/BS) to check if CHOP is in network with them and then come back and tell you the answer. But again, this depends on you having that PPO briefcase logo.

I'm sorry I can't help more. If I still worked there I would have access to the computers and could tell you. I will say this is all based on you possibly having a BC/BS PPO plan. I didn't even get into your other insurance since I'm not familiar with it. I will say though that their website doesn't have Magnacare listed.

Edit: I should also note, and this is good advice for anyone who has a BC/BS PPO from an out of state company.... When you call a doctors office to check network status do not ask them if they are in network with your BC/BS plan. (In your example if you call a doctor in PA don't ask if they are in network with Empire. They will have no idea. The correct question you want to ask is "are you in network with the local blue cross/blue shield plan" and if you have the PPO plan and they say yes then they are in network for you.

Additional aside: Don't ever ask if they "accept" your insurance. Accept doesn't mean the same thing as in-network. You'll find a lot of out of network providers will say they accept all insurances but all that means is they will gladly take whatever money the insurance company will pay them as an out of network provider, but they will still come to you for the balance due. If they are in-network they can't come after that balance.

I bought it too on the PS5. Mass Effect was one of the reasons I bought an Xbox 360. I haven't played it since I beat it way back in the day. STarting ME1 and hearing the menu music and the intro scene of Shephard walking through the Normandy made me feel such nostalgia.

This was BIPARTISAN legislation. Ever go to the ER and you pay your copay and you see a doctor for whatever the issue is. But then two specialists come in for a minute each that are out of network and you get a bill for 1000 dollars. Or you get surgery but SURPRISE the anesthesiologist was out of network and now you have a bill for 3000 bucks. Why are you getting this bill? Because those random people were out of network.

Not anymore.

If you are having a medical emergency and go to an urgent care center or emergency room, you cant be charged more than the cost sharing you are accustomed to for in-network services. This is where the laws protections are the simplest and the most clear for people with health insurance.

It even offers some protection for Air Ambulance (but not regular ambulance) trips.

This is 100 percent a great thing. Hospitals and doctors will bitch but honestly, fuck them. This practice of having out of network practitioners at an in network hospital only screws over patients. Someone in a car accident shouldn't be worrying about making calls to their insurance to make sure each person that comes into their room is in network or not.

I worked in Health Insurance for a few years and some of that time I spent taking phone calls from people who had our insurance. You would get several of these calls daily asking about why they are getting a surprise bill and the only answer we could ever give them was basically "that sucks, gotta pay it."

Unrelated but I went out with this chick once who put 900 dollars on the fifth horse in the sixth race. I think it's name was Chips Ahoy.
