I think she is a product of her environment where her parents gave absolutely no fucks what went on as long as it didn't effect them directly. The parents had mental issues because their house was a hoarders house. Chris Chan shouldn't have been on the internet and the trolls got to her and no one was looking out for her best interests. She was HORRIBLY bullied and no one stepped up to fix the problem or at least help. I blame the parents, Chris, and the trolls honestly. This was the culmination of 15 years of inattention and neglect. I've seen the Down the Rabbit Hole and all the other hour long quick hits. But that 50 part series that was linked here a little while ago has a LOT more stuff that changed my mind on this. Like there was a video where the trolls got Chris to film a home tour. She did and she even talked to her dad in the middle of it. the house was disgusting. It wasn't until some days later (i'm not sure exactly how long) that the dad comes in screaming and is pissed about the home video. Why? Because the house is a hoard and they may get kicked out. Or the dad walks in on Chris filming a video jerking off and what SHOULD have happened is a talk about the dangers of the internet, trolls, and not jerking off on camera. Which means the owner has to sue the renter. That adds legal fees for both parties on top of the rent and takes a lot of time. Plus, the renter is pretty much guaranteed to lose because there was a contract and then the owner will tack their legal fees on top of the renter as well and now there's absolutely no hope of getting the money back because it's become so expensive. Then after a while of not getting paid the landlord probably has to go back to court to get the renters paycheck garnished which will cost even more money. There's a few out already by different authors but I had some audible credits sitting around and picked this one up. I'm about to finish it. The most shocking thing I've heard from it was Trumps actual reaction to the death of George Floyd was shock and disgust. He was basically saying "these things shouldn't happen in this country". Then he went off the deep end and all he cared about was protestors making him look "weak." Anyways, here's a review on the book.
