So the reason for the resentencing is:

The former zookeeper was sentenced in January 2020 to 22 years in prison after he was convicted of trying to hire two different men to kill Baskin. A three-judge panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Maldonado-Passage that the court should have treated them as one conviction at sentencing because they both involved the same goal of killing Baskin, who runs a rescue sanctuary for big cats in Florida and had criticized Maldonado-Passages treatment of animals.

All they did is knock 1 year off his time. He's not going to be pardoned or anything anytime soon and will probably die in jail.

I've been thinking about this lately. Do you think companies no longer sending instructions was partially responsible for the rise of gaming videos on youtube?

At face value the idea seems dumb but the instructions used to be where you got how everything works and tips/tricks and stuff like that. It stopped being included so people made Youtube videos with "new player guides" for games when they launch now. People would probably still have made some guides but maybe not anywhere near as many.

From out outside perspective, and the only info we ever get is from what you say, but it seems to me that you might be capable of more stuff than you think you are. I don't know if it's from your parents saying what is and isn't possible for you or something but I don't think you're as helpless as you think you are.

If I had been working any any job I've worked in the past except this current job I would have thought about it.

Doing some quick googling SC may have the line in their unemployment law that you have to be "ready and available for work" which worries me.

I think your best bet might to be to talk to a lawyer who does no/low income stuff and maybe they can do it pro-bono or something. The other option is to call unemployment but I'm sure there's a line waiting to talk to them on the phone.

I got real pumped when I saw the Tiny Tina thing. I thought it was the new Wonderlands game.

Then I realized it's just the DLC for Borderlands 2 they made a stand alone version of to market the new Wonderlands game.

Either way I'm hyped AF for Wonderlands but not really these monthly games.

So one of the things they say is it isn't an exact port but they call it an "adaptation" because of all the stuff they had to change. They had to change menus and the UI around because there is a lot of menu bloat in this game and it needs to be better optimized for console controllers. I'm sure it will be real close to the PC game.

EIther way, I'm excited. I was never into any of these types of games and even own a few like one of the Hearts of Iron, 2 of the Civ games, and a handful of others but it was just too much for me to learn. I didn't feel like it. CK3 though had me addicted.

It was released on Gamepass PC on launch so I played it there. I went through a couple videos explaining the menus and basics and how to play and they helped a ton. This game is a lot of fun, and it's cool rewriting history. William the Conqueror took over England? Not quite. He bailed on that conquest and instead decided to take over France.

FF1 on the NES. I played a bit but wasn't enjoying it. The next one was FF4 and that one is my favorite in the franchise.

I'll randomly remember I have a couple of these games and then play one for a couple hours before forgetting overnight about the game.

They are fun and I enjoy them more than actual racing games like Gran Turismo and stuff.

A few days ago near me a truck rolled over and the cargo it was carrying fell out. The cargo? Monkeys on their way to a CDC quarantine facility.

A woman gets out to help after seeing the wreck. Allegedly she asked the driver what he was carrying and the driver told her cats. She started poking around one of the crates and realizes it's a monkey.

While the article doesn't really talk about conspiracies there are people locally here who are sure the monkeys are part of the "Covid Conspiracy" even though the chick was tested for covid and is negative. The article says it's probably herpes because monkeys carry that and spread it through spit and other body fluids.

There's a lot to unpack here.

Your girlfriend seems to regularly hang out with a friend of hers who is unvaccinated.

Every time your mom goes to the store or goes to work or something she will be around unvaccinated people. There will always be unvaccinated people. You can't hide in a bubble forever with it. If your mom is immunocompromised or something I kind of get it since you live with her. But it isn't like you see your GF every day. If the GF gets covid odds are she will know before the next time you're supposed to see her. You guys hang out what, once a week or so?

I would figure FF12 gets a mention. You're only controlling your party leader and everyone else is set up with "gambits" which are just fancy If/Then statements really. Mixed with the job board and being able to build your character as you see fit I think overall the combat is kind of in-depth.

So I haven't been into the DC Universe really at all. I knew he was in a recent movie and a buddy said "John Cena is actually pretty good in the movie" so I decided to give the show a shot.

I laughed out loud a lot. It's great. I don't understand a lot and I'm not sure if they just haven't gone over it yet or I missed it because I didn't watch the movie. I'm not sure why everyone hates him at the start, or if we are supposed to who his dad is. I don't mean biologically I mean what's the story with him. Everyone knows him and knows he's an asshole.

It isn't just them though. It's gunshot victims, car accident victims, kids who get a penny shoved up their nose etc.

There's so many people in the hospitals now that if you automatically put every person who has a vaccine / other medical condition above a non-vax i'm not sure the non-vax would ever get seen.

As others have said it's basically a clothing brand for certain professions. And AFAIK it's actually quality stuff. You'll see a lot of farmers, construction workers, truck drivers etc wearing it.

Sure. And a "great resignation" is one of them. Honestly I don't buy the hype that the uber right wing newspaper is trying to drum up. I think they are just looking to give more people on the right things to bitch about.

But people quitting their super demanding low paying jobs for "easier" higher paying jobs does this.

I worked with a bunch of people at a health insurance company a few years ago. Some of them recently quit to take "easier" jobs like as a cashier at our local chain of gas stations because the gas station pays 16 bucks an hour.

I dunno anything about any of this stuff. But it seems to me that you should exclude someone based on what they went through just because they have already went through it.

I've been watching this show called Voyage of the Continents on Amazon Prime. They went over the formation of the Appalachians, the Sierra Nevada, what makes Yellowstone special as well as some other things.

One thing they said was that we aren't totally sure how the Rocky Mountains formed because it's 1000 miles from the nearest plate. I may off about the miles or something but that's pretty close to what they say. Granted they were formed millions and millions of years ago so I'm not sure how much the distance means but I still thought it was weird. Googling it quickly seems to indicate they were made like any other mountain range.

I use my old IPod for hiking just because I want to save my phone battery. It's one of the old spin wheel ones before IPod touches came out.
