it is standard to tell pregnant women not to use warm water bidets in healthcare. women have to wipe carefully and are taught to do so from a young age. shooting water spreads shit into their vaginas, causing UTIs.

Bidets are actively harmful, a waste of money, and a source of national pride because americans dont use them.

that said, kojima brought cinematics and storytelling to the forefront of the video game medium which , while probably overdone in mgs4, was incredible in mgs3 and mgs2 and mgs1. some of the ideas about how the information age makes me people act insane are really interesting

miyamoto's games are far less creative, imo but his games really changed platforming mechanics forever. His games also greatly improved the 3d camera. His name is kind of slapped on everything made by nintendo, which makes me question how much stuff from his games is directly from his influence. That said, his catalogue of games is legendary and I think he takes the win for most people.

I think Kojima is just more creative artist, and miyamoto is excellent at execution and developing proper game mechanics. With the next game by Kojima I know it will be story driven and esotetic, unique, and no one else will make a game like him. With miyamoto, it'l be a well-polished mario game, and idk that just doesn't excite me that much. platformers, imo, aren't a terribly interesting genre.

Educate yourself. Toilet seat covers are a placebo. They don't actually do anything but make some people that don't know that they don't work feel better. If you are actually concerned about germs on the toilet seat you are much better off whiping the seat down with an alcohol whipe before you sit on it than putting an absorbant sheet of paper over it.

I have been saying this for the longest.

People always boil it down to nice guys just pretend to be nice for sex, but Ive never viewed it that simply.

They are nice because they are raised that way and there is tons of feedback in the media saying that a nice well meaning guy always win the girl in the end. Ask a woman what kind of guy she likes and its not uncommon to hear something along the lines of I want a nice caring guy, with little added to it. Couple that with tons of movies and TV shows where the nice well meaning guy gets the girl in the end by virtue of basically the love interest finally realizes what a guy he is after some sort of problem is resolved.

The problem is that the nice guy doesnt realize that theres more to it than this, a lot more. And they think that just by virtue of being nice, women should notice them and fall in love. The other problem is that there is a lot of pressure on men to behave a certain way in regards to dating but there arent a lot of avenues out there teaching men how to actually be attractive to women in a healthy way.

This is exactly what is going on. Men are told that being kind is enough. It just isn't. And a lot of women are not very kind themselves, and aren't looking for necessarily kind men

What exactly is ridiculous about it? Every relationship is transactional except family.

I don't really care about your irrationale feelings. I dated plenty of women in college and struggled when I was stuck at home after graduating with debt until I went into nursing and could take of myself. Women don't want to date men nice men, they want to to date men who can provide and act like a rationale adult. Being kind is a plus, but far down the priority line. Money and power is all that matters for being available for long term dating. These traits aren't necessarily corrated with money and power, either.

For ONS? Looks and hygiene. That's it.

As a New Yorker, we don't have time to bother with covers. Takes too long and they're flimsy as hell. Like imagine the "horror" game where you can just level up until you can beat the eldritch horrors with ease. That's just Dark Souls bruh.

That would be fine if the other parts of the game had something to offer beyond gimmicky obscure puzzles you looked up how to solve online

That makes absolutely zero sense. I could see if you had a problem with the randomness of the Trance system, but the combat itself is identical to any other turn based game.

Also the concept of using weapons to earn permanent skills was so freaking cool.

The game speed is genuinely 40% of ff7. Combat animations are also super long and spell effects persist during animations so spells like regen essentially full heal you with any animation. The combat priority turn order is so busted that the team does more dps if you make one of your party members afk/guard then pass turn to either steiner or Zidane. The combat is also piss easy, then a massive spike in stats is required at the last 15% of the game. The encounter rate is the highest or any ff game besides ff2 and the slow combat startup along with long time to escape from battle along with trance going off while running away and having to wait for the animation to finish makes exploring a nightmare.

Trance is also supremely busted. Reg attacks do like 500 dmg for awhile but even early dyne and other tranches hit for upwards of like 8k dmg, nuking bosses.

Item equipment is also utterly devoid of any strategy. There are no stats, builds, and you just buy the newest item in the shop and equip the one with highest dmg or defense or gives you a new ability

I could go on and on, but wow is the gameplay bad. I still love the game for its other strengths like story, soundtrack, etc. but wow it makes ff8 junction system look functional. Thank God they abandoned atb in ffx

Resident Evil 2 had a nice balance where you technically *can* fight back, but it's a terrible idea

Subnautica had the perfect balance for me. You can't really fight back (the cost of materials to do so is more work than it's worth), but you can build tools to defend yourself.

Re2 is terrible and I cannot understand how it got good reviews. Zombies take unfathomable amounts of bullets to kill, so like you said there is zero reason to actually fight them.. So the entire game is literally just wandering convoluted buildings, getting lost, backtracking, wondering where the fuck to go. How the fuck is that fun for anyone?
