quite a few of the many indies from the various e3-period showcases and steam next fest also seem to be due for next month (i'm personally seeing at least 14 in my steam wishlist, with one more also saying "august to september")

Almost every game sells best in its first week, particularly sequels. Even if it never sold another copy again, the 500K number would still be great.

just that it's probably not going to have legs to get to 1 mil players, which some might've potentially expected based on how many played the original. also just that it's been dropping off a fair bit harder than average

looking at steamcharts, it looks like it's already fallen to about a tenth its launch player counts and the free version's comfortably over it again. obviously being on the platform that has to compete with the free version doesn't help but also being the definitive edition among them purely for that meta stuff, it's probably a sign that its sales are starting to drop off considerably

gaps through to 01 are more or less nonexistent, and then everything since layton has felt like it's trying to be like 01 too much without the effective execution it has

regarding aai moderatos, 11 is the more memorable of the two but 09 isn't far off and without its main hit or miss elements, which is the only real cause of 11 not also being at the top. most moderatos can edge them out in general, but they just have significantly more crammed into them to make up for that and they're just good enough to benefit.

Gotta say i'm a little surprised to see this vtuber joining an agency now, and especially such a dead one like avex's V-WaVE project. At just 1.2k subs i'm pretty sure she's already significantly more successful than the other 30ish members so the move doesn't really help her at all tbh. (nice that they've got someone worth watching again though. the only member of theirs i watched before retired a few months ago...)
