It has some issues but overall I do really like it.

I think 64 is better, but I do prefer Sunshine over Mario Galaxy.

Hand drawn =/= CGI as CGI involves computers. I'm not debating this with you anymore. Think whatever you like. Just know I'm right.
You know what else involves computers? Hand drawn animation.

Also, there's usually A LOT of hand drawn art that goes into CGI.

Ehhh it had it's moments but overall it was pretty flawed. Not the worst Sonic cartoon, it's definitely better than Sonic Underground... But that's about it. The 4kids dub didn't do it any favors either.

But if Chris doesn't bother you that much then yeah, it might be worth a watch. There are some pretty fun episodes.

I think Phantasy Star Online would count, given you can still play the game online through private servers.
Specifically Sylverant and Schthack

Schthack is kind of dead these days from what I've heard. Though it's been awhile since I've checked.

Either way, getting PSO on the gamecube connected is a real pain since you need a network adapter and those aren't cheap at all.

It's still totally playable offline though and it has split screen co-op, so it's not a bad way to play it.

Killer 7 is one of my favorites. A remaster of it came out last year, though it's only on PC.

Also these...
Star Fox Assault - Not the best in the series but it was pretty solid and had great multiplayer.

Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction - Easily one of the best superhero games... ever

Lost Kingdoms - Card-based action RPG made by From Software.

Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 - The first one more so but the second one is pretty solid.

I like it. It's not a good movie, but it's fun.

It has such a bizarre and unique aesthetic. It really comes off as more of an absurdist parody of super mario than a proper adaptation. A proper adaptation probably should have been animated. I don't know why they thought a live action super mario movie was a good idea... especially without Lou Albano.

I'm willing to bet this movie is still going to be more fun than the new one though...

It could have worked without Albano. There were plenty of reasons why this movie was/is shit however.

Straying so far from the source material didn't help at all. The writing was awful. The directors couldn't direct effectively. Some of the stars hated being there, with Hoskins and Hopper being the most vocal about how much they hated the movie

With Albano, it still would have been shit. Just too many problems to overcome

Yeah, I guess I was implying more just the general idea of a live action mario movie, regardless of who directed it, it would have been better to use Albano. Obviously, if they replaced Hoskins with Albano in this movie, it wouldn't have helped much.

LinkPizza posted...
That being said, the new movie might not be so bad. They are going to animation, which is probably how it should have been, anyway...

Though, I wonder how it will turn out...

It's being made by Illumination, the studio behind the minions... So I wouldn't expect much from it.

I personally don't get, or care, about speed runs. I play the literal opposite way, I slowly explore and inspect everything, and cannot comprehend why anyone would have fun trying to get through a game as fast as possible.

LinkPizza posted...
I personally never got the appeal of speedruns. I know people like them, but Im like Dark Kirby where I go super slow to find everything and explore.

I feel like most of the time, 99% of the people who like speedruns only like watching them and aren't actually speedrunners.

I'm also the same as you two in that when I play a game I like to play more slowly and explore things. But when I play through a game a second time, I just naturally do it faster since I've already explored things. And if I happen to play through a 3rd time then I should skip even more things that aren't needed.

I've seen speedrunners play other games for the first time and they do play it more slowly then.

Well... yeah? Nobody really speedruns a game on there first playthrough. Well, some do, blind speedruns are a thing. But most speedrunners really only speedrun maybe a handfull of games. These are game that they're very familiar with since they've ran through them dozens of times.
