The blacktail feels just as stable to me as the red9+stock but the red9 does have much more firepower when maxed out...

I think I could comfortably forgo a rifle if I was playing the VR version or the Wii version since precision aiming would be easier but I'm playing the OG Gamecube version for... some reason.

Lol, I love how Ashley just stands there pointing at the boulder over the cliff like an idiot, completely oblivious of the el gigante that's RIGHT behind her.

Now I know the red9 is really popular, and it's a nice gun and all, but with the stock it just takes up so much space... I think I prefer the blacktail.

Just got done with the cabin sequence.

The game's actually a bit harder than I remember but I think that's because the last time I played RE4 was the VR version and it's so much easier to aim in that version.

It's a pretty good movie. What makes it less fun is seeing how many people end up idolizing Tyler Durden.

I wouldn't say grinding, more like constantly beeping or clicking.
Like this?

If that's the case then it's probably the lens constantly trying to focus on the disc. You can try cleaning the lens with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol if you haven't already but the laser might be dying and will need to be replaced. The lens itslef could also leave circular marks on your discs so might want to check them.

Now the laser on this one seems to be dying because games are stuttering and laser seems to be trying really hard, making noises to read discs.
If it's making a grinding noise at start up or when it's trying to read a disc, then it's likely the laser assembly slipping on the worm drive. This is a pretty easy fix if you're comfortable opening the system up. Usually all you need to do is adjust the laser assembly until it can engage the worm drive.

Might as well mod it to do backups tbh
That's the great thing about fat PS2s, they're really easy to softmod. The hardest part is sourcing an IDE hard drive or an IDE to SATA adapter, but once you got the hardware, it's really simple to set up.

Yes, absolutely. Second Sight is great too.

I really like Free Radical's character animation. It's honestly one of the things I miss most about them.

I'm generally not really big on soups but I do like a good Squash or Pumpkin soup and a good chunky Wild Rice soup.

Potato and Leek, and Minestrone are up there too.

The truck was supposedly operated by G.U.N., Sonic escaped from a G.U.N. helicopter at the beginning of the game.

G.U.N. is like some kind of private military organization. They're kinda shady and maybe not the most professional...

Which I don't understand how they did the treasure hunting levels in SA1 so much better than 2.
It's because they gimped the radar is SA2 for some reason. Now it only tracks one treasure at a time and only in a specific order.

Thankfully, there's a mod that makes it more like SA1's radar.

I bought Colors Ultimate on PS4 and... I'm not sure why I did that since I still have my original Wii copy. I haven't played it yet but I understand they've ironed out most of the issues with Ultimate.

I also didn't care for a lot of the writing is Colors but outside of that it was a pretty solid game.

I pretty much accepted the fact that I wasn't going to get a Wii that year, but I was SUPER hyped for TP so I had my heart set on getting the Gamecube version.

The Gamecube version came out almost an entire month after the Wii version... Which was really annoying but whatever. I remember how much of a pain it was trying to find a Gamecube copy, but I did finally find a lone copy at a Kmart a few days after christmas. No wonder the Gamecube version is so much more valuable now...

I didn't actually get a Wii until like a year later.

My list is pretty fluid. If I made up another top 10 list a week from now, it will probably look a bit different. Also, the ordering doesn't really matter much.

  • Silent Hill 2
  • Nier Replicant/Gestalt
  • Sonic 3 & Knuckles
  • Jet Set Radio Future
  • Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
  • Super Mario 64
  • Cave Story
  • Celeste
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Killer7

GameFAQs' guides have largely gone out of style in favour of wikis that allow people to drill down to the specific information they want instead of scrolling through large documents.
Gamefaqs has HTML guides now, so that would help with this.

The problem is they're mostly just made for the newest, more popular games. So if you want a guide for an older game, you'll probably have to settle for some crappy plain text guides.
