Last time I did a topic like this was for the Zelda games almost two years ago.

Big Spider-Man fan. I didnt get a chance to play this when it came out. I consider the best superhero games to be some of the Arkham games so I will do a lot of comparison.

Ive had it for a while and opened it to kill time while I wait for something else. Playing this game makes me want to play the far superior Sonic Mania.

The level design isnt that good so far and I dont care for the cutscenes or voice acting at all. I suppose the presentation is nice and the whole create your Avatar is great if youre into that.

The game is pretty short, right? Im about 30 minutes in and I already never want to play it again.

Toei isn't getting any money from this. Bandai Namco bought the rights to use DB characters from Toei. Then, they hired ASW to develop the game. Bandai Namco gets all the revenue from retail sales. Toei got their money when Bamco bought the rights from them. However, all these events and tournaments being hosted is making everyone money but Toei. Toei can't go after Bamco because they bought the rights to use these characters so they're going after everyone else. Toei is probably issuing a licensing fee to use the DBZF IP but no one wants to pay the fee because it costs so much.

Basically, Toei is saying pay up or cancel the tournaments so everyone would rather cancel because they would lose money by paying the insane licensing fees.

As the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour is approaching its climax a growing rain cloud seems to have emerged over the competitive scene.

Multiple events have been shut down with little to no articulated reasoning. Many are turning their attention to Japanese animation studio Toei as the most likely motivator for said shut downs.

Maximilian has produced a video wherein he recaps the recent goings on and then offers a handful of his own thoughts on the matter, recalling somewhat similar situations with Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Melee a few years back.

Max states that he feels the competitive Dragon Ball FighterZ scene is feeling the effects of this in no small way right now, and that the whole ordeal feels very unfortunate considering just how popular a tournament game DBFZ has become.

Indeed even EVO tournament organizer Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cuellar took to Twitter on Friday to say, "It's sad to see what's happening to the DragonBall FighterZ community. It literally might be a one and done," perhaps implying there's a chance we won't see DBFZ return to the fighting genre's biggest recurring major in 2019.

The hit fighting game of this year, Dragon Ball FighterZ, is running into some issues recently in the esports world. Major tournaments such as EVO Japan and (most recently) Anime Ascension are not running tournaments for the fighter, leaving speculation as to why:

Many fans seem to be pointing the blame at Toei, the license holder for Dragon Ball. For those that arent aware of how protective Toei is, the company once had Japans Embassy write a note to Mexicos Government to prevent an illegal broadcast of Dragon Ball Super from being publicly displayed in Mexico. So the possibility that Toei could be putting the breaks on non-official Dragon Ball FighterZ tournaments to protect their IP, is not surprising.

Whats interesting is this is all happening in the midst of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour, Bandai Namcos official esports tour for the fighting game. That tournament series itself is getting some flack due to the fact you need to win a Dragon Ball in the tournament to qualify for the finals. That would be fine if the fact that player Kazunoko did some gatekeeping and won four of the possible seven. This resulted in now four last chance qualifiers happening simultaneously to get some players to fill the finals.

Skrillex didnt ruin Kingdom Hearts but it sucks that the opening song for KH3 isnt anywhere near on par with Simple & Clean or Sanctuary.

Like on Call of Duty games. The bants were fantastic. Nowadays, seems like nobody wants to use in game voice chat anymore. I miss trash talking the other team then friend requesting them afterwards if they were good sports tbh. It was part of the multiplayer experience.

Why are we here? Just to suffer?

Ive been having girl problems, CE. She says that Im obsessed with her and that shes not looking for a relationship but then shell make me brownies with nuts in them and refuse to block my number even though any other girl would at this point. When she sits across from me, her legs are wide open like super wide open. I told her she looked nice with her hair a certain way and she started wearing her hair like that way more often.

Her actions and body language shows she might be interested but its like I have to prove myself somehow. Literally any other girl would have blocked my dumbass at this point. I dont understand her. Even her mom knows about me and likes me from what shes been told. Feels as if she likes me too but is hesitant because her last relationship in August ended badly? This is driving me insane.

Im about to stop playing online. For every good match I have, theres 10+ matches of stupid bullshit that pisses me off. Im sick of running into K. Rool players who spam projectiles only and Falco players who run away and only use their laser gun. How is playing like that even fun? And then when I get ahead, some players just forfeit the match and run off the stage. This feels worse than Smash 4 For Glory.
