Great game mechanically, but man was the story mode longer than it needed to be, especially for something required to unlock a character.

Vanguard Bandits

Apparently this has been on PSN for a long time, but I never noticed it. Honestly shocked it was notable enough to even get rereleased. I played this back around when it was first released. It isn't an outstanding game or anything, but I was in the mood for an SRPG, and this is a solid one. Was worth a replay.

25. Beat a game with horror as a central theme

Bloodborne

Honestly kinda surprised it took me this long to replay it. Mostly used the Blade of Mercy (sorry Eileen, your weapon was too cool not to kill you), with the rifle spear/reiterpallach as back-up. I still have never done much with chalice dungeons or the DLC, so I'll still be playing for awhile. Interested to try out the Burial Blade and some of the DLC skill weapons.

Had a few summon tickets. Wasn't really planning on doing anything with this banner, but there was an adorable giant dog and I wanted him, so what the hell.

I got him. This is the first time I've ever actually gotten an on-banner rainbow. I don't know what he actually does, but he is a good dog and I love him.

Gonna try doing this again this year after sitting out last year, although I waste so much time on mobile games that I doubt I'll make it to 50 again.

12. Beat a game made by a developer you've never tried

Pathologic HD. Always been interested in Ice-Pick Lodge's games (the Pathologic remake is one of the very few games I've contributed to on Kickstarter), but never played one before. I was kind of expecting this to be too dated to power through, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

39. Finish a game in one day

Spelunky. Of course I beat Spelunky. Why wouldn't I beat Spelunky?

43. Beat another user's favorite game

Final Fantasy 7. Got the urge to replay it, so I grabbed it for the Vita. Still great.

47. Play a technically unbeatable game for at least six hours

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Also One Piece Treasure Cruise. I am gacha trash.

Got "Weapon Jr." for my TV tropes page. Replaying Skyrim seems tempting. Could do Super Mario World if I want to finish something quickly, or MGS4 if I want to finally get that off of my backlog.

I also beat Dead Cells, although I'm not sure I'm going to count it. It's an unfinished early access game, but there is an end point, and getting to it counts as a "completed run" in the games' stats. Hopefully they finish it by the end of the year so I can count it without hesitation.

Was sitting on a lot of lapis, and I really needed a good white mage, so I did 5 multis on the healer banner(plus 20 summon tickets)

Didn't get one (although I did pull some Refias, at least), but I did pick up Wilhelm, Gladiolus, Ace, Emperor, and Seabreeze Dark Fina.

I know Wilhelm's a great tank, and Ace is a great MP battery. Should I care about the other three for anything besides their TMRs?

even a weaker DW Fry (700-800 MAG) tends to be better than a well built Aileen simply because hybrid damage doesn't care for evasion and by using the MAG stat, relies on the enemy's SPR, which for most of the game's content is weaker than DEF.

A2 and maybe enhanced Orlandeau are beyond her outside of extreme cases.

Best I can manage seems to be 556 STR/700.MAG if I ignore durability almost entirely. Of course, my Aileen would only be at 825 STR with Artisan, so I wouldn't exactly call her well built. I'll keep thinking about it.

Unless you use the Fixed Dice TDH build they also need their respective weapon for full potential.

Are you ready to grind up 3 Ingus for Fry? That's the minimum you need to start seeing her potential on top of Adventure V for good measure.

TT uses the same stuff more or less.

I mean, I know they aren't as great without their weapon, but they still seem pretty usable with something like the Lohengrin, at least in the short term. I don't think there are any comparable hybrid weapons for Fryevia to use outside of TMRs.

I'm way too early to be worrying about full potentials, I think. I'm sure I'll go after L&As eventually, but I've only pulled one Ingus, so that's a little impossible right now. Does that mean Fryevia has less short term value than the other two?

Got a Fryevia off of my free pull today. I should make the needle my second TMR, right? Unlike Aileen and Tidus, it seems like she absolutely needs her weapon, and she seems to be rated the highest of the three. Could also grab something for my almost fully awakened TT, although I'm not sure what I'd pick (only relevant 5* is Marie. I guess I could use it on William or Water Veritas, although I already have two Williams)

I don't doubt it. I've only been playing for about two months, though, and I also have Trance Terra to worry about, so gil is a struggle. Don't think I'll ever invest in Queen, unless I get a dupe and the 7* is a big improvement.

What are the best units you don't use even though they would likely improve your main team?

Marie seems like someone I should probably use at some point, but I haven't bothered awakening her yet. I think I have enough materials for her abilities, but I reaaaaaally don't want to spend that much gil on her.

Also Zargabaath, I guess. Only pulled him like a week ago, though, so I'll probably give him a chance at some point.
