Why is it so popular? Looks like another multiplayer shooter.

Because despite how shitty the engine is, it's still better than preceding battle royale shooters like in Arma or whatever that zombie one was called. Those ones were unplayable, whereas this one is playable by some loose definitions of the word "play," generally that don't involve enjoying yourself.

I swear, one of these days, someone's going to release a Battle Royale on a not-horrendous engine, and with those big-tit anime LoL characters, and they're going to be billionaires.

Just go back to Quake 3 Arena. Not sure why people ever left.

Anyway, this is really my genre, but I am kind of curious about PUBG after hearing about it constantly.

Back to the actual terrorist attack, ISIS supporters are giddy on social media about this.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/854656/london-terror-attack-parsons-green-bomb-isis-islamic-state

While no group has claimed responsibility for the Parsons Green terror attack, some supporters of ISIS’s killer cult have already cheered the atrocity online.

One said: “Allau Akbar!! Our lions are striking terror into the hearts of the kufr.”

Another ISIS supporter claimed the attack in south-west London this morning was a success, despite the lack of fatalities, as it displayed holes in British security.

Security group SITE Intel revealed: “As ISIS supporters celebrate news on ‘London explosion’, one remarked that the incident demonstrates ‘weakness’ in UK security.”

And others claimed the bucket bomb was a “trial run”, claiming another, even bigger attack was set to “rock London”.

ISIS supporters regularly take to social media to celebrate jihadi attacks, most recently when 16 people were killed in Barcelona.

One man said on the encrypted messaging service Telegram: “A van just ran over people in Barcelona!!! Allu Akbar!!!! They can die in their rage.”

The death fanatics even take to social media to celebrate non-terror related events, such as last week’s devastating Hurricane Irma.

One posted: “May Allah drown the enemies of Islam and force them to their knees to be subdued.”

Another posted a satellite image of the storm and said he prayed “that Allah destroy them, and shake them, and restrain their might to heal the hearts of the Muslims bombed in Mosul, Raqqa, and elsewhere!”

I can't see it winning anything, sadly.

As an aside, HBO has the most votes of any network. They went hard behind Westworld for these nominees (as the expense of The Leftovers, which definitely deserved a few nominations). They're a large reason GOT won the last two years when it really shouldn't have, so they could conceivably stack a few of these in favor on their show. Especially best drama.

I don't think they'll be able to get a winner in Best Lead Drama Actor. I think Brown runs away with that award. Hopkins wasn't even really a lead in that show.

No, this is a question of someone getting arrested (government action) for what they said. There, free speech matters.

Just for a refresher, this is the post you responded to initially:

Both are in the wrong but A clearly used provocative language to incite a reaction from B. Freedom of Speech doesn't cover language that could be used to incite violence so they can't use that has a defence.

You don't quite understand the way the law works. Freedom of speech still applies in this case. Language does not "incite violence" just because it hurts your feelings or makes you mad. It needs to be a specific and actionable threat for violence to ever be justified.

• Scenario 1: Person A says a racial slur to person B, person B attacks person A --> The government arrests person B
• Scenario 2: Person A makes a credible verbal threat of murder against person B, person B attacks person A --> person B is not arrested

Why the different government actions in two cases where person A just used words? Because the courts decided that one is protected speech under the first amendment and the other is not. So yes, the fact that the government will not arrest person B in one of these cases absolutely relates to the first amendment and freedom of speech. The line at which protected speech ends and threats begin is covered by first amendment court law.
