Don't forget that the early entry item puzzles are supposed to be ridiculously easy, and they get harder as you go down the chain of players. The first puzzle could very well be easy enough that Jane could "solve" it without actually doing much of anything.

Alex, Chun-Li and Jun the Swan are my favorite characters to use.

TVC is still the only game where I can enjoy playing as Chun. Even in MVC3, I don't enjoy playing her nearly as much.

If Order of the Stick updated daily or near-daily, and Homestuck updated at the glacial weekly or bi-weekly pace that OotS does now, which one would you prefer?

It's by personality and "cool" factor a bit too! Basically, it's all encompassing, and nothing to do with how they play in the games and such.

But that's my whole point! When you're talking about characters in a fighting game, how they fight is probably the most important thing!

For example, I like Ken slightly more than Ryu in terms of characterization, but I find Ken so much more obnoxious to fight against, so I'd put him lower on the list.

EDIT: Also, boo at the Q ranking. Q was one of my favorite 3rd Strike characters. Basically a more fun version of Balrog, with a cool design and an air of mystery. Really hope he makes it into Tekken X Street Fighter (the makers of it and SFxT did say that neither company would have any input on the other's game, so it's possible that Q could get in despite Ono's wishes).

Man, who would rank fighting game characters, especially Street Fighter ones, based on plot or relevance?

Personality, fighting style, and fun in fighting with or against the character should be the main things that matter.

In which case, yes, Twelve would still probably be near the bottom. But maybe not Remy!

Does DS2 have multiple ending paths?

Pretty sure every SMT game besides Digital Devil Saga has multiple ending paths.

Devil Survivor and its sequel seem to go a bit further with it than others, though.

Man, what is with all you guys.

Midori was great. Yeah, she was an idiot at first, but she toned it down severely by the time Keisuke went all *spoilers*.

And I know that this will seem less credible after explaining my character preferences in the first game, but I think DS2 has a much better cast of characters. All of them have some amount of depth, while the DS1 characters, with the exception of Keisuke, were pretty generic and could be taken at face value. Only character in DS2 that I don't like is Keita. What an ass.

The second game is also much better at pacing the characters. In the first game, you had your main trio, plus either Midori or Keisuke, and then on the last day you would suddenly get another five party members that you would never use. In the sequel, you meet almost all of your party members in the first few days. It helps get to know them better.

The main thing I feel like the original game did better, though, was the survival aspect. It feels like your party is actually fighting for survival in the lockdown. In DS2, that feeling disappears as soon as you join up with JP's.

I'm almost at the end of DS2 right now, and I still can't decide which one's better. I'll probably finish the game another four times in order to figure that out.

The problem with making an Order of the Stick discussion thread is simply the update schedule. I would probably consider this comic to be better than Homestuck, but the fact remains that Homestuck has a nearly daily update schedule, with additional stuff like soundtracks and flashes and even games that generate discussion.

OotS, meanwhile, updates maybe once a week on average. It's a very good webcomic, but in order to survive the purge, that might not be enough.

Even on hard mode, I'd consider Path of Radiance to be the easiest game in the series. Yes, easier than Sacred Stones (assuming no tower grinding).

If I can beat the first demon that comes out of my COMP (not too hard since it comes with a program that lets me fight better), I should be able to get to the end of Devil Survivor with the help of the Harmonizer and demons.

Unless I take the Gin route (which I probably would in real life), in which case I get killed in the final battle with Babel when all my demons disappear.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, I probably could not punch out an invincible demon while I wield only a cell phone strap. Damnit, Beldr...

Biggest problem with FE10 hard mode is stopping you from pressing A on an enemy unit to see its movement range.

Like, what. That doesn't make the game any more difficult, just incredibly inconvenient!

Not that the mode isn't a complete pain in the ass besides that, of course.

Yes there is. Once time runs out, if you're in Pandora, you lose no matter what the health totals are.

I don't think Ive ever died for hype in any fighter than the Persona fighter.

It died when I saw someone 100% a character on the freggin previews. It died more when I learned of its mechanics.

If you're talking about Naoto, she works differently. She has an instant kill attack, but you have to work for it.
