Poliwhirl is a terrible example, he is actually really damn popular compared to his pre-evolution or any of his evolutions, and he was a series mascot near the beginning.

And does anybody like Wigglytuff more than Jigglypuff, or Prinplup over Piplup? There are times where pre-evolutions are more popular than their evolutions. I guess what I'm saying is, maybe just rank the evolutionary line as a whole, instead of just the final form.

As for Regigigas, yeah he sucks. And that's coming from someone who really liked the original Regi trio.

SMT usually does it fine, the health totals always remain the same and it's usually enemy damage output that's increased. Occasionally store prices, which is a bit more annoying.

Strategy RPG's also tend to be fun on hard mode, like with Fire Emblem, where you don't really have to think unless you're playing one of the harder difficulties.

Best character in the game, though not the best in the series. People like Jade because he's a smart, funny guy surrounded by a bunch of unlikable characters. In a game with an all-around good cast like Vesperia, Jade would hardly stand out.

I bought it, thinking that it was probably being underrated by Bioware's typically overreacting fanbase. I played for a few hours before realizing that I wasn't having any fun, and it just made me want to play the first game.

And I didn't even like the first game that much.

I returned it soon after, naturally.

Nothing but love for you man, but I hate when FE players say this. Does every FE really have to have Impossible Deathslayer Godkiller Machine Lunatic Reversal Insane Mode in it?

It's more the fact that the Japanese version of the game does have that mode, but we didn't. I'm just a little bitter about that.

Man, if you thought Persona 1 was playable, you'll probably find Persona 3 and 4 God's gifts to gaming.

I mean, I absolutely love the SMT series, but I just can't deal with that game. The one positive thing that I'll say about it is that I like the existence of the Snow Queen Quest, which basically makes it two games in one.

I think Adam had less of a personal connection to the heroes than the Mayor did, honestly. Adam just was a wholly unimpressive villain on all levels, and it seemed like he was only there just so there would be someone to fight at the end of the season.

For those who are worried about it being like FE10 supports, it seems more like FE4's system to me. I'd imagine that any pair of characters can get married, but certain "predestined" pairings will have more unique conversations.

She's also playable in King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 (called King of Fighters 2006 here for some reason), where she's still a badass for bringing all of her weapons from the games to what is generally a martial arts tournament.

She also has probably the best worst voice ever.

Haha, right, crits deal triple the damage of a regular hit in the later games. I completely forgot. (Play FE4 dammit)

I am literally playing FE4 right now. The main reason I've hated on Astra in this topic is because I've seen exactly how bonkers it was back then. <3 Ayra and Lakche, probably my favorite units in Fire Emblem history.
