I hate movie TV nerds because they are fond of saying "X was never good" when it actually was at the time.

Its gotta be video games nerds.

theres so many things that make games the worst fan base ever.

The fact they complain about EVERYTHING. When games are absolutely amazing theyll complain about the smallest things. If you listen to them every game sounds absolutely terrible when they couldnt be farther from the truth.

You on any game specific forum and its just people complaining about every little thing and demanding the developers cater to every whim. People demanding buffs and nerfs left right and centre when its clear as day these people dont know the first thing about game balance. How many times have you heard stories of the developers putting misleading patch notes in but not actually changing anything. So the patch will say ___ is 20% better but actually didnt change at all. Then people rush to the forums to complain about how OP it is because everyone is now playing that thing.

Or you just have pockets of communities that are just pure toxic for whatever fuckin reason. Literally driving people away from those games because theyre just the shittiest humans around.

Or you have people sending SWAT teams to streamers houses because they literally think that shit is funny.

i could go on and on. Gamers are absolute trash

this drives me nuts too, its why i dont subscribe to any gaming subreddits or w/e. subs are 50% turbonerds that know the names of the entire development team and are gushing over every fucking thing the company does, and then you have 50% guys who act like a game's unbalanced patch or lack of a customer service rep posting on the subreddit is the end of the fucking world.

the nice thing about CE is that you dont get too much of these types of people, here it seems like people enjoy games and play them, and if they dont enjoy the game they stop playing it and move on with their life. i dont see many "congrats to Junior Level Designer Mike Smith on his daughter's graduation from 5th grade" or "Open letter to the developers: my manifesto" posts around here
