Maybe we should school him on it. Or maybe he just thinks its funny to him because its something he does not come across usually. Does that mean we should punish him? Or is it just a difference in culture that we can appreciate as human beings, therefore we can relate when we see each other in a positive light. That last scenario actually happened to me as a person. Wii_Shaker posted... I don't find TC to be a smart individual and one should be concerned wearing such antiquated ideas on their sleeve. Humans are not devolving, they were oppressed for years and years. There are some who simply cannot understand why they would not be happy under such oppression and these are the people who seem to have the biggest problem with seeing culture destroy it's symbols of oppression. I agree. I dont think im that intelligent. But that does not mean as a person I do not have experience or a personal point of view. I think Ideas can devolve when it gets to the point of losing sight on what the actual problem is. You also can't force a change in such a rapid succession and expect everyone to agree with it. Also, on your last point, I would say that instead of just destroying their symbols of oppression, the segregation taking place, one of the things people are actively trying to achieve right now, is only going to worsen the situation. In other words, its the 'us or them' mentality. --- |

Media is now being changed and its considered that they are in fact, as a concept racist. Races in DnD. The wizards of the coast being pressured into changing their whole outlook on race attributes. People who were outraged made the comparison of orcs representing black people even though there were already black people in DnD. Its strange that they were the ones to see that comparison even though orcs have nothing to do with black people in the first place. Not being able to voice a different colour character. This is the whole point of being a voice actor and celebrities coming out to personally apologize for their roles seems wrong. I'm even seeing discussions of white people not being allowed to write a person of colour in a book? It seems all we are doing is influencing segregation. Fueling a passionate race war based on misguided ideologies. --- |

And the worst part is, people are seeming to lose the ability to judge something based on its severity. Everything is zero-policy now which is why cancel culture is so rampant. I fear the lasting effects of everyones actions. Personally I dont think I'm that smart an individual, at least compared to the average person, but I know I'm not the only one seeing this. Question is, am i in the Silent Majority or the Silent Minority? Edit: I regret making the topic title with the word 'funny'. Barrett - Would join at the front of the protesters, only making things even more extreme but Tifa would hold him back. Yuffie - Would join either side just to screw them over for her own gain. Vincent - Pre-transformation vincent would join cops. Post transformation wouldn't give a shit. Aerith - Would be in the background providing aid to either side. Reeve - Would side with cops and protestors both, but ultimately fail as a mediator. Tifa - Would side with the protesters but be concerned about riots/violence. Would then bring Cloud into the situation. Fixed it for you. Edit: Sephiroth - Ends up killing all leaders of both sides and throws the country into chaos. --- |
