I don't recall anytime when Spider-Man could punch with so much force that he could make a portal through time.

Did you know in one universe, there was a radiation explosion or whatever that turn Peter Parker into the Hulk? And a Spider that was in the explosion bit Bruce Banner, who became Bullet Points Spider-Man. And I believe Steve Rogers was Iron Man in that universe. I think Steve and Peter died. And I think Peter killed Steve. And I believe they were buried next to each other. I think Peter does fighting Galactis or something... Lots of universes out there...

I think you are confusing "is more powerful than" with "would win in a fight against".

That's why I can't get into comics. I don't know what is part of what universe and/or storyline.

I know of some key events in Batman, but I don't know the chronology or if they are even part of the same thing. I know Dick Grayson goes off to do his own thing, Jason Todd is RIP (but he comes back?!), Damien is his son biologically and the current Robin, Barbara Gordon is paralyzed by the Joker in The Killing Joke. But what's the timespan between all of these events and Year One? And there are some interpretations of The Killing Joke where Batman kills the Joker, but those can't be right because the Joker still appears in later comics (or is Barbara's paralysis separate from the Killing Joke?). And where does The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League, Crisis on Infinite Earths, New 52, and Batman Beyond fall into all of this? I'm guessing The Dark Knight Returns is just a fun "what if" scenario and not part of the chronology (because even that has its own Robin). New 52 just confuses me even more because I read it was supposed to be a redo for everyone, except Batman (he and a few others are the only ones who retain their memory from non New 52 stuff or whatever).

It because of the multiverse. I can't say for sure about DC, but I believe they had a multiverse, then basically retconned stuff or something to get rid of them.

Marvel is fucking insane, though. People die all the time. Sometimes, it's not the real them or a clone. There's time travel involved. And alternate universes. I mean, I think the X-men went back in time, and during that whole thing, I think young Bobby was able to do something to help older Bobby come out of the closet. And I think Peter Parker's Aunt died, but it was a fake Aunt May all along. Not to mention, when his daughter was born, Norman Osborn secretly cloned her, and gave the Parkers back one of them. But nobody knows which one they received. Marvel is insane...

The hulk doesnt have an upper limit as far as physical strength goes but theres all sorts of cosmic level characters that he could never even come close to being as powerful as

If the hulk is levitated, say by jean grey or anyone who can move things with their minds, and has no physical contact with the ground or anything else, is there anything he can do, or is he just stuck hanging there powerless, no matter how strong or angry he gets?

John J Rambo at 60 is 100x more dangerous than captain America at 30 and 80x more deadly than captain America at 30 when he is 70.

thats why Steve Rogers is some fake captain America John Rambo is the one true captain America.

Like wolverine Spider man can compete at higher level competition than you would normally think due to his spider sense giving him an ability to avoid getting hit. But hulk would smash him upon contact. Unlike John wick who could simply never be hit by the hulk due to sheer skill.
