Utah has supposedly been handling the situation very well though I don't know the actual metrics vs other states. But I think we're at less than 50 deaths and something like 3500 confirmed cases and 80k+ tests. Fortunately we've been able to do it without enacting the same draconian bullshit a lot of other states have been doing.

But I think we also have the youngest population in the country so I'm sure that contributes to us not dying as much.

BB sucks. I played for like 3 hours and there wasn't a way to get into the sewer for the first boss. After I had already tossed it aside for a new game someone mentioned a secret path to get there but it was too late. If the first boss requires finding 'easter eggs' to progress then it isn't good game design.

I think its overly maligned for what it really was. There were a ton of problems with the game but I really appreciate what they at least attempted to do even if they failed at it in a number of places.

I appreciate that they attempted to remove the need for grinding. Most FF games up until that point had pretty large swaths of the game devoted to having to grand up certain things like magicite in 6 or materia in 7. In FF8, I think they attempted to ameliorate that issue by having level scaling enemies, the junction system, and the SeeD system. Unfortunately that brought up a host of new issues. But I thought at the time at least that the junction system and seed system were pretty interesting even if I didn't understand junctions as a child.

Aesthetically I think its also my favorite FF game. It was sandwiched between the clunky graphical limitations of 7 and the goofy chibbyish style from 9. I tend to prefer the more realistic efforts. It also had some of my favorite FMV sequences from the series.

It also had, I think, the best iteration of a side game in the entire series and maybe any game with the card game. There were certainly problems with the rule sets which, I think, could have easily been tuned up to be less obtuse. But otherwise I thought it was a ton of fun and had real world implications through the various card transmutations and what not.

All in all, I still enjoy it for what it is. Its very flawed and a lot about it is incredibly frustrating but ultimately it was a positive experience for me.

The 'yelling fire in a crowded theater' thing is an extremely narrow hypothetical case that people like to apply to everything. In order for it to be illegal to do something like that you'd have to be doing so by knowingly making a false claim and intending to either cause damage or to benefit from the claim (defrauding people through gofundme and what not). If you ACTUALLY believe, whether it's true or not, that there's a fire in a crowded theater, you are absolutely protected in your right to yell that out.

Similarly, this personal actually believed and was advised by doctors that they may have had the corona. The parents did their part by trying to get the school administration to inform other parents of the exposure and the girl was just relaying what she believed to have been a corona infection on instagram.

Honestly, even if she didn't believe herself to have corona there would no reason she couldn't post that on instagram. She wasn't calling anyone to action nor was she trying to defraud people or solicit anything from people.

What an absolutely idiotic action by this sheriff and anyone else involved.
