I honestly wish it had more monster fighting. I also really thought the human subplot was completely uninteresting which, to be fair, is often the case in these movies. But somehow it felt even dumber in this.

I also had a hard time seeing the action during some of the fights which always annoys me. I still think Pacific Rim did it so well that it hasn't been beaten in that regard.

Yep. You can always vary your cards too. Get a few sappy ones, maybe ones specific to boy/girl whatever. Since I started doing it I've saved a lot of effort not having to get my fat ass to a Walgreens. Plus you can curate them more easily on the interwebs.

Supposedly growing vs showing is an evolutionary trait. People with ancestry from colder climates tend to be growers and hotter climates tend to be showers. Which is, generally speaking, why white dudes are usually growers and black dudes are usually showers.
