Guess I'm the first no in the poll. It felt like a game for small children tbqh. Rewarding me for very minor tasks. I heard there was hard content but I beat the game and never had a challenge. I need something to get the blood flowing you know? Or a creative outlet. It delivered neither. But platformers are one of my least favorite genres so there is that bias. I did love Sunshine and the Galaxies though.

Odyssey was just ok for me. It's not bad. Obviously it's very polished.

Resident Evil is the last game on the list I would actually play, because it's so far away from my kind of game. I'm sure it's great but I can't speak for it. The rest of the games are good but not exceptional. Smash is exceptional but it would definitely feel odd having it win because it's so in the background now vs the others.

I have always said that I wish they would stop introducing hundreds and hundreds of Pokemon and just focus on polishing the core experience. (How long did it take us to get to the point where we were moving in more than four directions? Not on a grid? Way too damn long.) But of course they needed new Pokemon to sell more merch. Now they felt the need to cut down on Pokemon and of course people aren't happy.

Pokemon is the highest grossing media franchise. From my perspective as a player, it is obvious they're not using enough of that money to maintain a good quality to their games. But from their perspective, they spend less and still sell a ton so...it's good business. Minus the customer satisfaction aspect for some players. A competitor would be a good motivator to improve, but who do they have? Digimon? It might as well not even exist by comparison, which is a shame.

Right..that's what I'm hung up on too. There's not a warning system in place either? I'm slightly annoyed he's making so much money just playing games BUT that does sound harsh to me regardless.

That's how I would have personally handled it, but it's not like you have a time machine. <.<

Also "no eating my food, make sure to clean up after yourself." Etc. Right when they move in, that's the time to lay the ground rules. Next time, do not miss that opportunity. I'm sure you are aware of that now. Not communicating will just lead to more stress.

I keep an eye on sales even though I may be busy with another game. But it remains in the single digits. I'm really careful with what games I buy, and I only buy ones where I get at least 1hr/dollar. Some games like Control which is a quality gaming experience but too short..I'm waiting on a sale. Several games are like that for me. Not technically in my backlog but they might as well be. I just haven't bought them yet.

Thankfully I have a decent enough backlog that can keep me well entertained until the sales do happen. Best value I've gotten is Minecraft for $12 when it was in alpha iirc. Easily over a thousand hours in it over the years, with all the different modpacks.

I have a friend who buys seemingly everything that catches his attention. It's common for him to spends maybe 10 hours tops on a $60 game, then drop it for the next. We are total opposites there. Definitely makes it hard to co-op with him because he loses his attention so quickly. Rip his bank account.

I guess it would be Sheena from Tales of Symphonia. The game allowed for relationships with the party members. But in order to romance her, you had to be mean to the main heroine, since she has high affection for you from the start and would take priority over everyone else otherwise. That was pretty funny and I enjoyed that lol.
I was 13, and it was the first real meaty RPG that I ever beat, and what got me into the genre. The game was on two discs and the length just blew my mind. My favorite genre to this day.

Hmm...quitting an enjoyable hobby outright is a bit extreme imo, but if it was negatively affecting your life..may be for the best. Gotta have balance. That's for sure. Also, have you tried socializing more with your extra free time? Might help with the loneliness.

Runescape. It was the first time I had stayed on a computer for very long. It's how I learned how to type. If you wanted to buy or sell anything, you had to type out your offer over and over until someone walked by that was interested.

My family had a dial up connection. So fighting anything that was at all a challenge was a big risk, because if I lost connection, I'd die and lose everything. Needless to say I mostly did peaceful skilling like cutting logs or fishing, and made friends chatting that way.

Nowadays it's so much easier to connect with people through smart phones. Most of the mobile games still suck though. Runescape is now on mobile, so I tried playing that, but it hasn't aged well. Most of the people who play are returning players who try to do everything with max efficiency instead of having fun throwing house parties, etc. No one really talks to each other at least not nearly as much as people used to.

As a nurse, yes I can confirm that is how we handle dementia patients. Reminding a man that his wife is dead only for it to inevitably be forgotten again is not going to help the patient's mental state. It will just cause grief. There is no positive side to doing it. It's a fruitless, painful cycle. There is no cure for dementia.

One of my best friends is transgender. He is a man who identifies mentally as a woman. He has been suicidal in the past. I do not understand the irrational hate and discrimination they receive for the life of me. People who deserve hate are people who wrong others. Not people like my friend who fyi is a wonderful person through and through. Just feels like he should have been born a woman. The people who hate -- they're the real problem. A large part of the stress is fear of rejection from friends, family, and the rest of society. I'd say that's a pretty massive factor. Once that is gone, I believe trans people would have a lot easier time being happy with just being themselves.

I don't have any statistics, but put yourself in their shoes. It's not hard to imagine. To say it's a medical condition that needs to be corrected, that shouldn't be the focus. Imo. The focus should be on eliminating hate and discrimination. That's what's unhealthy.

Yea, the lords get 1.2x experience. Them and the main character also have better growth rates, so they'll get more out of level ups, on average.
