Assisted suicide should be legal.

It is in some states, and honestly that's how I want to go out. They require you to wait two weeks to think about the decision and you have to have a terminal disease iirc. I've had this in mind for eight years and haven't changed my mind yet, don't think I ever will. I've taken care of patients who are miserable and checked out every single day for years on end. I don't want to end up like that.

GOTY is more about popularity than anything else. Not what is actually the best game of the year. I wish they would rename it to "Most Popular Game of the Year"
Then we can have "Highest Rated Game of the Year"

That way casual games can have its own award that we can sweep off to the side. I mean I love Minecraft too, but it's not deserving of the game of the year either. It should be based on best overall combination of story, gameplay, music, etc etc. You know, actual good traits instead of how many people did it convince to download it the year of its release. I mean, Fortnite is free to download. So automatically many more people are going to have access to it. It has more popularity not because it's good, but because it's free. Then just pump it with pop culture that is already popular...and it just piggy backs on the fame of other hits. It's not rocket science.

Get the names right. Then people wouldn't be making all this fuss. Fortnite taking the crown from an objectively better game is the definition of lame. Only people who would actually agree with it either accept it for just the sheer popularity of it, or they just haven't actually played any better games that year, because they're kids without money to buy games.

I just got done binging it a couple hours ago. Better than season 2 for sure. Season 1...idk. Been a while since I've seen it. But I did enjoy season 3 quite a bit. I also thoroughly enjoyed Fisk. I loved the actor on CSI and I enjoyed his performance in Daredevil.

I like my hero shows with a little bit of fun and humor added in every so often to lighten up the mood and keep things from just being depressing. It seems like EVERY hero show is depressing lately, it's why I stopped watching arrow/flash etc, they were like seriously getting me down. At least the new spiderman had humor in it...although now that I think of it the last avengers was pretty freaking dark as well.

Totally get what you're saying. I would've liked some lighter moments, for sure.

Divinity Original Sin 2. Not a game for everyone but a perfect fit for me. Adore the game.

I just started getting into this recently. It is quite amazing! Steep learning curve, and you definitely need to have patience (item management alone is like a boss battle), but it's extremely rewarding when things go your way. So many approaches to every situation. Pretty awesome.

The only thing currently driving me crazy is the difficulty. Holy shit. I'm playing on "classic" for the first time ever. And damn is it inconsistent. Battles with 4 or 5 enemies is juuuust hard enough to be difficult and a "close call". But when you start fighting groups of 6 or more....there's a 90% chance I am going to have to reload that save, because my party gets butchered and I refuse to waste 2 or 3 resurrection scrolls. Assuming my last surviving person can even flee in the first place. Hot damn.

I'm guessing you're in the first act..it's not uncommon to have that kind of experience, and I did too. I started a new game once I got a feel for the skills. Those first few skills you're able to pick upon character creation make a big difference. Once you get to act 2 you can respec. Stick with it! It's totally worth it.

I took a loan out to go to nursing school at a community college. Paid it all back in about 3 years, and made more than my parents did at my first job. The advantages I did have going for me was a place to stay for free while I was in school, and a truck given to me that was older than I was where the air conditioner cut off if I went above 50mph. I don't feel that the ability to live with your parents and to attain a cheap vehicle to be a rare opportunity by any stretch of the imagination.

But I also didn't get anyone pregnant (which if you did, that's entirely your fault 100%..not establishing yourself before starting a family), and I studied my ass off and worked and studied through every vacation until I got it done. Community colleges are way cheaper. The big name colleges are a scam as far as I've seen. At least in nursing, they only care about what you're capable of and if you passed a test to get your qualification that has the same standard across the entire state. They don't even ask what school you went to. I'm sure it's like that with a lot of jobs.

ifnsman posted...
Ideally, minimum wage should at the very least be $40 an hour... but that's not happening anytime soon, I'll bet.

Idk the cost of living where you're at but that is absolutely absurd. I did completely fine, hell, did great with a wage that was half that. At $40/hr that surpasses entry level pay for nurses who have gone through several years of schooling where I live. Which is a far more skilled type of labor vs flipping burgers!!! I'm going to guess you live in a big city where rent is sky high or something, idk. That number is way off, at least in my rural community. But I mean, I split rent with my roommate. Which ANYONE CAN DO. SOOO. STILL. Pretty out there number for me.

I'm sure the military has a wide spectrum of people. As a nurse, I can tell you there is a very wide range in terms of knowledge and experience. But you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless we wore our name tags and you knew the different levels of nursing education with their abbreviations. Even then, someone of lower rank could easily be more capable than someone of higher rank due to their years of experience.
Personally, yeah, I think the military worship in general is a bit overblown. Now the ones actually out there risking their lives? Hell yeah. They deserve the respect.

The model is not a bad idea..right now though I'm looking at these laser engraved crystal pokeballs that have an LED lit base with various lighting options. They take custom requests for anything not just Pokemon..and it seems they also engrave rectangular prisms. Only thing is custom requests are $100. But to be able to engrave whatever I want..it may be worth looking into. They make a 3d model off of any singular 2d image.

Absolutely not. An upvote system would effectively censor posts that didn't get as much approval from the majority. That's what I like about this site. Everyone gets a shot.
Everyone has an unpopular opinion of some kind. That's not to say that that opinion is not valid or that it should be censored. (Obviously if it's blatantly offensive that's another thing, and can just be reported.)
The "silent majority" can grow some balls and actually say something if they have a problem. It's the internet. You're anonymous anyway. If this "silent majority" can't even communicate on the internet then they have some serious issues they need to work out instead of passive aggressively downvoting everything without posting an actual legitimate argument. USE YOUR WORDS.

I've been playing it since I woke up and I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. It's a bit saddening to go on n4g and see like 8/10 articles all about Spiderman and it's not even out yet. Whereas DQ is out with not nearly as much attention on it. It's not even in the top selling section on steam, which is really sad, because there are some bad or just plain obscure games on the top selling list. Early access and indie games are outselling the game on steam. Like wtf? Here on gamefaqs -- GTA V, Skyrim, and Monster Hunter have more active boards despite being out for ages. I know MH got the PC port recently but damn. I thought DQ was more popular than this. I thought it would get more attention, at least on it's release date for pete's sake. 60-100 hours of quality RPG content. Where the RPG fans at?? Saving for Spiderman? Makes me wonder just how much Spiderman is killing DQ's sales. I like Spiderman too, but a 20 hour story? With side missions and collectables it does add some time, but..geez. People are missing out.
